Had exposure to anyone that has tested positive to COVID, OR Travelled to or through Blackwater recently If you answer YES to any of the above, then our receptionist will book you in for a phone consultation with one of our GP’s. The doctor will then take COVID precautions and determine the next best steps for you. If you answer No you will be screened with the same questions as you enter the practice and your temperature will be checked on arrival. 16.01.2022 The unprecedented demand for bookings on the COVID-19 test booking hotline is causing congestion and delays for callers. The hotline (4920 5800) is at capacity ...with 10 inward lines open. Additional staff have been allocated from outpatient department and other departments across Central Queensland, but the average wait time today is 40 minutes. We ask that you remain patient and make a booking as it improves patient flows through our testing clinics and reduces waiting times. We also ask that, where possible, you attend COVID-19 testing clinics and not emergency departments. Most people who are tested can expect to receive their result in under 24 hours and usually in less than 12 hours. Remember, you must wear your mask when you attend a hospital or COVID-19 testing clinic. We thank you for your patience during what is a challenging and anxious time for our communities. You can expect some delays when booking or presenting for testing, but we ask that you remain respectful of the CQ Health and other support staff on the hotline, in our testing clinics and across our facilities.
