25.01.2022 I love decorating with wreaths. I've had this magnolia wreath for over 10 years. It's starting to get a bit shabby but I just can't part with it. 24.01.2022 I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of @sproutgallery ceramic ornaments before they sold out. This little Chinoiserie one looks perfect hanging on the powder room door. This design is still available and a little bird tells me that the other designs will be back in stock at the beginning of November. I'm very tempted to get some more and have a blue and white Christmas this year It's not too early to start planning Christmas is it? All the decorations are out ...in the shops, and the Christmas music will start before you know it! 23.01.2022 Theres nothing like climbing into your own bed to go to sleep ..... especially when youve been away for 9 weeks. When I lay in bed the night I got home I remembered how good it felt. How your own bed feels different. Its yours. You love it and it loves you back giving you a big cuddle when you lie in it. We only have a queen bed and we slept in many King and Super Kings while we were away. Ive got to say I liked the extra space but it wasnt as cozy. What do you prefer? Queen and be cozy or King and give me some space?

22.01.2022 Hello! I'm back. The jet lag is still hanging around but it's nice to be home and starting my 'new normal' life. You might have seen that I was lucky enough to find some beautiful @by_spode vintage pieces at the Northcote Road Antiques Centre while I was in London, and they made it home safely in my carry on bag (which you all recommended). Here is the Spode gravy boat and saucer filled with some carnations from the supermarket. I'm not usually one for carnations, ...but it's good to try new things right? 21.01.2022 This is one of my favourite blue and white pieces that I brought home from London. It's a late 19th century (1800's) planter, which makes it older than this house. I wonder what houses it has lived in before, and if the original owner ever thought it would end up in Australia. 09.01.2022 Somebody stop me now. I'm seriously nesting. Ever since we got back from our trip last Friday, I've had the urge to thoroughly clean and organise the house. Yesterday it was the ensuite. Today it's the dining room. Every surface has been cleaned and polished. It must be a side effect to leaving my daughter in London to live. I'm filling the void with a spring cleaning frenzy. At least with one less person in the house, there's a chance it will stay cleaner for longer. Can't wait for her to come home for Christmas. 09.01.2022 Since our Schnoodle Gus had his knee operation, we have had to move our whole lives downstairs. For the next 8 weeks, we have to keep him confined to a small area so his leg can heal. Not an easy task! He cannot get up and down the stairs and at 22kg he's a bit heavy to carry, so we've moved to the downstairs living area. As long as he's with us, he's happy

06.01.2022 Foraged Lavender My husband and I went for an early morning walk yesterday. Like 5am early (I blame the jet lag). We walked past a house that had a planting of lavender right along the front fence. I said how pretty it was and how beautiful it smelt. So he just decided to pick some. Now I must have a fear of breaking the rules and doing the wrong thing because I was thinking you can't do that. I kept walking so if the owner appeared I wouldn't get 'caught'. My husba...nd happily stood there for a couple of minutes carefully selecting the lavender he wanted. Now in fairness, the lavender was on the nature strip side of the fence, so maybe that makes it fair game. So here is my pretty bunch of foraged lavender and it smells beautiful. 03.01.2022 Gus is a very happy Schnoodle. He went to the groomers today and is looking very snazzy. If you want to see the wooly bear that he was after 9 weeks without a clip have a look at my instagram story My husband took him to the dog park on Sunday, and was chatting to one of the other dog owners. He said "I just love your dog...he is a ninja dog" Apparently this guy walks past our house all the time, and Gus will appear out of nowhere and start barking through the picket ...fence as they walk past. It scares the you know what out of him So he calls Gus the Ninja dog, but it's all good.
