24.01.2022 Attention everyone living in Jabiru or any Kakadu outstations. The announcement of the restrictions under the Biosecurity Act mean that TRAVEL INTO JABIRU AND ALL KAKADU OUTSTATIONS IS NOW BANNED. This is to seal the region off from Darwin and Katherine and to stop the spread of the virus to our region. The only people who can enter this region now are essential services workers and others who may have permission via the government or the NLC. Even when people are granted per...mission as essential services workers, they must remain separate from the local community when they are here. It is very important to understand that IF YOU GO TO DARWIN OR KATHERINE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COME BACK. You can only come back if you have quarantined for 14 days IN DARWIN. This may mean you have to stay at the Howard Springs centre for 14 days before you can return to the community. Please listen to the advice STAY HOME, DO NOT TRAVEL UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. https://www.niaa.gov.au/covid19-remote-communities
