25.01.2022 Nice 6'4" Retro 'Ol'Pirate' model made for customer in Tahiti, with plenty of volume and foiled rails. Light single to double concave blending into the vee through to the tail for smooth water release. 6'4" x 21" x 2 3/4" glassed with Aqua Marine Blue tint. Easy paddling and cruising down the line to the Tahitian outer reef line-ups.
24.01.2022 This 8ft Mauritian gun ' Marline Fume' is now ready for shipment to Cyril and the Indian Ocean. Solid swell and down the line reef breaks. Enjoy it big time Cyril..
22.01.2022 Custom order for Matt McKay, a 5’8 x 19 3/4 x 2 1/2 shortboard CBC/In+out design for the small surf conditions, easy paddling, plenty of volume for getting out to the line up and onto the waves. The quad Twin fin + Twinzer fins out to the rail along with the extra concaves gives this board plenty of ability to turn around to all points with drive and lift. It’s quite a different feeling of surfing but I know that he will dig it!
22.01.2022 DK Surfboards 2017 5'11" x 16 3/4" x 2" 'Tow-in' made with Basalt fibre tech top and bottom, 4 oz. 5oz. + 7oz., 8 layers. 3 on the bottom and 5 layers on the deck, at least 5kg's, quad fin set up, single to double concave, boxy rails and ready for towing in. Solid! Oh yeah, forgot about the 12mm Bamboo Ply stringer for the extra strength and weight. Confident of no snaps.
19.01.2022 Another Custom handcrafted DK Surfboard done and ready for the adventure! This one a 6'3" x 20" x 3" Asymmetric-2 extended copy of the 2014 model 5'9" 'North Oz' Asymmetrical Surfboard. Made for those with plenty of character and open minded regards to surfing the ocean. This one is for my classic old mate Phillipe, from Tahiti, New Caledonia and Reunion Island and any other French island, who lives for the drive and motion of individual art forms in and out of the water. Hope you enjoy this one Phillipe, surf well and surf with a smile mate. ps. Made from Volcanic Basalt Fibre Tech top and bottom, PU Blank, asymmetric double channels, asymmetric concave and fins, only, the front half of the outline and the beveled nose is symmetric...Plenty of work but a great time in designing and crafting surfboards like these...
18.01.2022 DK Surfboards back in action! Just finished a 4 month holiday on the Indian Ocean visiting a couple of islands surfing magic waves with great crowds in the lineups. This Gun 8' x 21" x 3" 'Marlin Fume" has been handcrafted for a top old Mauritian local surfer, Cyril, always looking for the easy paddler in well overhead conditions at Tamarin Bay. Looking forward to finishing this one off...
18.01.2022 A couple of shortboards for Shannon to take on his surf trip up to northern NSW this week. Both eps/epoxy with Basalt Fibre and Innegra quad axial for some light weight and extra strength. A 6’4 x 20 1/4 x 2 5/8 plus the 6’7 x 19 1/2 x 2 7/8 all rounder . Refined easy paddlers made to last and surf all conditions. Will be great to see how he goes on them. Also comes with a custom 6 Basalt DK Single fin for the 6’4 for some extra drive and hold off the bottom turns. Looking forward to the feedback.
17.01.2022 New 2017 5'10"'MK2", for Michael Kennedy, riding DK Surfboards with a bit of twist, using extra light blanks, epoxy resin and ultimate Innegra quad axial materials to hold the performance rocket together for his style. Momentum will not be an issue!
16.01.2022 Moorea island surfer Mika Robert, testing out his new DK 5'5" Hydrofoil in the Polynesian tropical conditions, as often as he can. Definitely carving one up for myself asap.
15.01.2022 New chunky 6'3" x 20 1/4" x 2 7/8" 'Grunge' for good'ol mate Matt, keen to be back in the water on this model made for easier paddling and taking off.
14.01.2022 A new replica of the DK Surfboards 5'6" 'Shortcut' for local surfer Dylan. Made for whatever you can handle, Indo surf breaks or local secrets. Tinted foam, quad set up and some extra volume for a shortboard to keep him surfing.
12.01.2022 'Scoop' 5'8" x 18 7/8" x 2 3/8", Quad fin set up, 4 x 3/8" boxes to swap around front and back fins to be surfed as a Twinzer or Quad Fin. This helps the surfer with all of the contours and curves through the tail of the board and to the outline of the planshape. Designed to throw the water in all angles whilst on the move and helping the surfer through their turns, up and down in the pocket and holding in with the 4 fins. Nice and lite with some bright multi coloured resins to add even more to its own character. Best from 5'2" up to 5' 10"..
10.01.2022 Vincent Rintz and his new 6’3 ‘Grunge’ with a bit of volume and concaves to keep him active at the lineups of Tahiti. Then there is the modified ‘Shortcut’ model mixed in with the’Scoop’ bottom design made for Vetea Jean Temauri . 5’0 x 20 x x 2 1/2 DK radical 90’s designs mixed in with tomorrow’s designs. Very happy with it and looking forward to the experience it will make.
09.01.2022 This one I have made for my own son who was born and lives in Madagascar. Only 6 years old and this is his first surfboard to learn the skill of surfing. A 5'5" x 18 1/4" x 2 3/16" 'Zebu', which should last him a year or two. I love the spray on this board, it is the Madagascan flag (except the black tail), to represent who he is. So I will have the same artwork on my next surfboard, which is shaped now and ready for the artwork. In 3 weeks time Hajo, my son and I will be paddling out into one of the magnificent remote surf breaks of Madagascar. Yo..can't Waite!!
09.01.2022 Custom Rocket tail surfboard a 5'10" x 20 1/4" x 2 3/4", EPS Epoxy with some great Innegra quad axial fibreglass, carbon fibre support for flex down the centre top and bottom. Plus the top deck glassed in 100% Innegre 2oz. for excellent strength to weight ratio, allowing a thick surfboard to still feel light and firm in the surf. Single to double concave fading easily into vee off the tail for clean manoeuvres..
07.01.2022 Been a while since beginning this board, so now finally getting it done and ready for the fine tuning, laser engraving and waxing! Paulownia wood, some glue, plenty of time, a natural surfboard and a smile once done.
06.01.2022 After my last surf trip to the Indian Ocean I did realise I would need a shape with a bit more rocker and volume hence this one the 'DNA18' model, 6'4" x 19 1/4" x 2 3/4" . Easy light to double concave, boxy rails, magic flexnet Innegra fibre, epoxy resin and finish coat. Ready for my surf trip to Tahiti within 6 days time. Bonjour tu le monde!
03.01.2022 DK Surfboards Madagascar..
01.01.2022 Little 5'9" x 19 1/2" x 2 3/4" demo 'CB-IN' knocked up and ready to be surfed for those who are willing to give something different a go. This one shaped with the CB to the bottom hidden by the colours yet the Inversion outline cannot hide at all. Made for cutting corners and loose of the tail, let me know if you would like to give it a go. Glassed with Basalt Volcanic rock to give it lots of flex yet with plenty of strength and durability. Try it out..
