19.01.2022 Seven young people from the remote NT community of Wadeye, are the first in their community to finish school since 2007! With support from both the community and outside sources, the Year 12s overcame challenges, stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors within the community, to improve their chances of finding work. 07.01.2022 Codes 4 Life: Women, initially titled "Respected Women: DKA Pilot Program", has been renamed by the program’s facilitators and Elders to acknowledge the cultural and methodological alignment to DKA's existing flagship project, Codes 4 Life. The co-designed program provides a space for Aboriginal women to discuss and to raise awareness about domestic, family and sexual violence. Codes 4 Life: Women will delivered by a dedicated team which includes Main Facilitator Jessie Bartl...ett; Co-Facilitators Sharon Burns and Marissa Gibson; and Elders including Maureen Abbott, Alice Nelson and Kathleen Wallace.
