06.01.2022 COURSE OUTLINE CBCT PRELICENCING Cone Beam Pre-licensing Course This course will cover the requirements for a Cone Beam use license in NSW as specified by the EPA (NSW). The course will also cover some aspects of radiographic interpretation, but interpretation is not examined .... The course will be divided into two components: Part I 1. Radiation Health & Safety 2. Theory of Cone Beam 3. Limitations of Cone Beam 4. Applications of Cone Beam 5. Cone Beam verses Multislice CT 6. Radiation Safety Act 7. Open book examination Part II 1. Cone Beam radiographic anatomy for Implant Dentistry 2. Anatomy & Pathology of the Para-nasal Sinuses 3. How to assess a Cone Beam data set Part II of the course is designed predominantly for dentists, but may be of interest to OHTs and DAs with Certificate IV. Part II of the course is not compulsory and is not examinable.
