24.01.2022 Hello chocolate mousse Craving chocolate but trying to steer clear from sugar loaded chocolate (bars)? This chocolate mousse will satisfy any chocolate craving! With only 5 ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes to make - Thickened cream 300 ml... - 100% Cacao powder 2-3 Tbsp - Liquid stevia 10 drops - Vanilla extract 1/2 - 1 tsp - Strawberries Simply whip up the thickened cream for 10 second in a food processor or with a mixer. Then add the cacao, vanilla extract and liquid stevia and mix till the desired consistency. 14.01.2022 Pesto made different A yummy, healthy, easy meal. Add any toppings to your liking for extra flavour. We made this a vegetarian meal tonight but you could add some chicken for extra protein Serves: 3-4 Time: 20 min... Ingredients: 250 g pasta 1 tsp oil 4 cloves garlic, minced 2 shallots, diced 4-5 Tbsp capsicum (from a jar, diced) Pea Pesto: 1/2 cup roasted pine nuts, (2 Tbsp for topping) 1.5 cup cooked green peas 1 lemon, juiced 1 cup fresh basil, chopped 2 Tbsp olive oil Black pepper and salt to taste Toppings: Roasted pine nuts Green peas Chili flakes Fresh basil Lemon wedges Parmezan cheese - Cook the pasta - Roast pine nuts - Cut and fry the garlic, shallots (2 min) then add capsicum, 1 more minute - Add pine nuts, basil, peas, olive oil, pepper and salt to food processor and blend till creamy - Add pesto to pan with pasta, mix through. - Add topping to your liking and enjoy! #recipe #mealplanning #vegetarian #vegan #veggies #pasta #healthylifestyle #healthfood #pestoisthebesto #yummy #dietitian #easymeal

Maybe it’s been building up gradually but you’re now heavier than ever before? If you’re dreading starting yet another diet it’s time to open a new door... Many studies have shown over and over that low carb diets produce significantly higher weight and body fat loss than low fat diets. Without calorie counting or rest...ricting - as a dietitian, that’s the part I love most! Low-carb diets also appear to have an outstanding safety profile. No serious side effects have been reported. If you take certain medications that lower blood sugars you will need to work with your doctor to adjust so you don’t get hypos. In fact, the studies show that these diets cause major improvements in many important risk factors. Triglycerides (blood fats) go way down and HDL cholesterol (the good one) goes way up. Blood pressure and blood sugar levels also tend to decrease significantly. A high percentage of the fat lost on a low carb diet comes from the belly area and the liver. This is the dangerous visceral fat that builds up in and around the organs, driving inflammation and disease. This is something I test through body composition analysis and waist measurement and I have seen to be true time and time again. As a practitioner I can’t unsee the significant improvements in weight and health that a low carb diet produces. On so many levels, including reducing food cravings and restoring a healthier relationship with food. Especially compared to giving traditional low fat calorie counting advice.
