25.01.2022 Well today we should be celebrating our 2020 doubleheader Championship Shows but here we are snuggled in from the rainy day, lost in our thoughts & struggling with what day it is. Every year we put so much work into the lead up & day of the show it certainly marks the opening of a massive weekend of events for our Committee, Members & competitors, many of whom are from interstate. We are missing you all like crazy in this Covid world. All we can say is our 2021 Doubleheader Championship Shows weekend will be amazing & we will look forward to welcoming everyone back

We have rescheduled the Speciality to Saturday, 30th October 2021. We look forward to your amazing support in building a bigger and better 2021 event. 07.01.2022 Wisdom Wednesday (Thanks Jude) Really interesting article.... knowing the signs is helpful so you know what you are dealing with. Unfortunately its a common cancer seen in our beloved breed.

07.01.2022 An urgent request from our friends at Dobermann Rescue Australia Wide... Hi Members this is a desperate one. We need a foster care immediately in Victoria. The person/persons MUST have loads of experience a safe yard with extremely caring tolerant neighbours. If other dogs they will need to be separated from this boy till he settles. He has shown no social skills what so ever. We have a 3 year old boy desexed in a pound that has to get out tomorrow.... He is out near Lilydale If you can help please call Bev Manning asap 0478225148

06.01.2022 A very powerful image of Sunny & Shirley & a testament to the amazing abilities of our beautiful breed. Never forget

04.01.2022 Mid-week Life hacks

02.01.2022 What do your walks look like? The large majority of our walk time is free sniffing. Street walks and short leads can be hugely stressful for a lot of dogs. Restricted on short leads, dogs barking through fences, traffic, pedestrians....its a lot to take in! Sniffing is what its all about for dogs. Its how they take in info about their world, and its super relaxing for them. Im a huge advocate for free walking your dogs and letting them sniff, explore, take in their world... at their pace. A lot of dogs just dont cope with street walks and owners misperceive their dogs pulling and zig zagging and inability to pay attention to them as being naughty or disobedient. Instead its more likely a sign their dogs not coping with the environment and trying to escape or being super sensitive from worry about perceived threats. Slow down your walks and let them sniff instead of trying to get kilometres done. You might be surprised how much more chilled your dog is afterwards from healthy mental stimulation instead of exhausted from stress or even more worked up from too much stimulation. See more
