25.01.2022 The pool on day one and the pool today. After 5 weeks I was finally able to open the gates to the Amata swimming pool! The kids are amazing, absolutely nailing everything in their swimming lessons and it was great watching them having fun mucking around in the water after school. 18.01.2022 Last night I attended the opening of the 2018 Bowness Photography Prize at the MGA - Monash Gallery of Art. Looking around the gallery and listening to Hoda Afshar's acceptance speech I felt very grateful that people trust me and other photographers with their image and story. 16.01.2022 Ngapartji - the Pitjantjatjara word for why I moved to Amata - meaning something that is in exchange. Muna the language teacher told me a story to illustrate its meaning. One day I was hunting for tinker (goanna) with some kids, one of them swung his stick to hit the tinker but got me on the head by accident. He ran off, but I shouted Ngapartji! I’ll get you back!.
