24.01.2022 PSA: DODGEBALL & COVID-19 The current health pandemic, COVID-19 (coronavirus), has alarmingly raised concerns and measures for the community to be diligent with their personal hygiene. NSW Government advises individuals to ongoingly action high levels of safe hygienic practices. Dodgeball Sydney is a large dodgeball community where COVID-19 can invitingly play and breathe. It is spreadable through liquid droplets like sweat or saliva and can be picked up when accident...ally shouting a call at a ball. We need to #DODGECORONA For minimisation of spread we ask all our players to stay informed on what you can do to help keep our courts & community safe including washing your hands frequently, avoiding rubbing your eyes and touching your face and using appropriate amounts of toilet paper! 17.01.2022 It was only on Friday that the Ministry of Health gave community sport (particularly Indoor sport) an ease on restrictions. It has been a tough time for many as Dodgeball Sydney is not just a sport but a community that we all miss. With the easing of these restrictions we are now planning with ALL our venues of when we recommence. We are still putting your safety as our number 1 priority so bare with us as we try and make your return to Dodgeball the safest and easiest transition back to some normality Thank you for being patient with us and expect some correspondence and updates soon! 15.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Dodgeball has been cancelled until May! Rounds that were planned for TODAY at Five Dock and Monday and Tuesday at Fairfield have been CANCELLED. Please pass this on to your team mates or those involved with the leagues. We have made the decision due to the escalating spread of COVID19 to CLOSE EARLY. At this stage we are planning to continue the rounds in May. We will be making an assessment in April to see when we continue our social leagues. It is a... tough time for everyone at the moment, so please practice good hygiene, keep talking to the community online or via the phone and stay safe. If you have any questions please reach out via email or DM us.

15.01.2022 Official League Update: COVID19 Sunday 22nd, Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th March will be the LAST rounds of Dodgeball played before our temporary closure is activated. ALL Dodgeball Sydney venues will be closed until May (subject to extension pending government guidelines). If you have traveled overseas in the last 30 days, had any contact with any confirmed COVID19 cases, or have any cold/flu symptoms, DO NOT attend ANY Dodgeball events on 22nd 23rd and 24th of March. If you... are symptomatic you will be removed from the venue immediately. If you do attend Dodgeball events on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of March, we ask that you practice strict hand hygiene and refrain from any contact with your teammates or opponents. Please bring all your own CLEAN towels, water bottles, knee pads and do not share or lend items to others. Do not high-five or shake hands. We understand you may have many questions surrounding make up games, fixtures and payments. Please rest assured that you will have your full number of season games, simply at a postponed date. A very simple way in which you can help our dedicated league staff and volunteers, is to let us work on solutions with minimal disruption. There are hundreds of you, and only a couple of us - so please refrain from sending us messages with these questions via social media. Please practice diligent hand hygiene in your daily lives and notice any signs or symptoms that you may be unwell. Follow the public health guidelines and practice social distancing and self isolation. Above all, please be considerate of others, as many people with existing conditions and suppressed immunity are having a particularly difficult time. 11.01.2022 It's true! Our Monday & Tuesday Fairfield Leagues are resuming next week on 26th & 27th October!! Seasons will be picking up where we left off in March/April. Emails have been sent out so please check them for details on scheduling and new changes/rules with our COVID safe plan in effect to ensure your team's safe return to social leagues. 2020 has thrown quite the curve ball so we can't wait for everyone to hop back on court and throw some back before the year closes :D ...
