10.01.2022 Book Week Parade Our Book Week parade will be early in Term 4 on Wednesday 21 October at 9:15. This year’s theme is Curious Creatures, Wild Minds. As with previ...ous years, we encourage students to dress up where possible as a character from their favourite book. The focus of the parade is to celebrate our enjoyment of reading and to have fun! Parents please do not feel pressured into spending a fortune on costumes for this event, quite often the best costumes are the ones that have lots of imagination and care put into them. We can have parents come to watch our Parade as in previous years, however due to COVID-19 restrictions this will look different to previous years. Parents who would like to watch the parade need to let the office know that they are attending the event so we have an idea of adult numbers. We will be holding our parade outside this year near the Gazebo with our students doing a lap of this area. Parents will be able to stand on the bank outside the Prep rooms and watch the classes do their lap. After students complete their lap they will assemble at the Wombats and parents will be able to stand around the outside of this area. We require parents who are attending to visit the office prior to the parade to fill in a COVID-19 Health Check form and to observe 1.5m physical distancing.

If your child is away for any reason it is the responsibility of Parents / Carers to notify the school as to why their child is absent. ... Under the Education Action (2016), it is a requirement that all students attend school. If your child is marked absent without any explanation, a letter from the school and the Department of Education will be issued when students reach 5, 10 and 15 days of unexplained absences. Following on from this, if attendance does not improve Parents / Carers will be required to attend Compulsory Conciliation Conference with the Department of Education and the Education Register’s Office. You can contact us on 62 658 116, via FB message or email.

Rather than visiting every street we will be taking Santa to designated meeting points and handing out Lolly bags. We will be depending on all adults to follow physical distancing guidelines to ensure everyone’s wellbeing and safety. Stay tuned for full details of Santa’s journey around our community

03.01.2022 Dear Parents/Carers, Late today we have been advised of a slight discolouration of water coming from one of the taps in the school. The Department of Education has advised that this may be related to an issue with the water pipes and not a contamination. ... In light of our recent water contamination issues the Department of Education has advised us that they will test all water for contaminations and address the cause of the discolouration immediately. Please send your children with a full water bottle each day next week. The school will have a supply of bottled water for children to access when needed. I apologise for this inconvenience, and hope that this issue is quickly resolved. Regards, Phil Novak Acting Principal
