18.01.2022 Our second post about Groomer of The Month September 2020 - Emily Slevin! Emily wanted to tell us about her workspace with Aussie Pooch Mobile! The Aussie Pooch trailers are designed to be open and light which helps the dogs stay calm and also gives the customers piece of mind as they can see inside to see what's going on at all times. The space is functional, easy to clean, all weather proof being warm in winter and cool in summer( no air-con needed!) The trailer is also very light only weighing less than 400kg full which saves on fuel expenses which can quickly add up when your mobile.

12.01.2022 Our third and final post about DGAWA Groomer of the Month - Emily Slevin! While Emily still washes and grooms dogs a couple days a week; her main passion now lies in new groomer training and helping groomers succeed with their own businesses. When she does work in her own mobile grooming business in Duncraig she loves to focus on the things she loves the most which offering positive regular 2-4 weekly washing and maintenance as she loves the connection this gives her with her pooches, customers and local community. She also loves a good de-shed and her favourite tools are the Activet brush and Mars Coat Kings.

11.01.2022 Introducing our DGAWA Groomer of the Month December 2020 - Jill Gow! Jill is a huge community player; she is incredibly passionate about networking, up-skilling and sharing her knowledge with others in the industry. Jill has trained with Patt Pattinson and Helen Forester, she says the opportunities for training and then competing at Perth Pet Expo were a huge positive learning curve.... Upskilling brings Jill continuous passion and excitement in her grooming career. Incredibly Jill is involved with Police Search and Rescue dogs, with her late Rottweiler Maizy being a very successful human finder! 11.01.2022 Congratulations to our DGAWA Groomer of the month November 2020! Sue Parora Sue is relatively new to the industry and has been grooming for just 1 year. Sue trained in Melbourne under the amazing Kylie Tatti and it was during her training that she fell in love with and decided to own her first Standard Poodle Ari (Ariel Dare to Dream ) who is named after the little Mermaid. Ari’s name was apt as she moved from a 30 year career in the corporate world to take a leap of fai...th into her dream job of working with dogs. Sue is an asset to the WA Grooming industry; actively promoting a team work environment between independent groomers and always there to lend a hand at DGAWA events. Thankyou Sue! Erin runs a mobile grooming business in Mandurah called Pancakes Dog Grooming Studio, it's a quirky name that found itself from Erin's nickname when she first moved to mandurah. Erin loves creative grooming; her work often exhibits an asian fusion flare. You may have seen her beautiful rainbow coloured dalmatian called Xander online or at events @xander_rainbow_dalmatian - he's quite the attention grabber! Erin joined the DGAWA commitee this year, mainly managing media and helping out with events. 02.01.2022 Spectators and Helpers and this weekend's comp! To assist with any contact tracing requirements after the event you will be required to check in when you arrive. You can do this one of two ways... 1) Scan the available QR code at the registration table using the newly available SafeWA app which you can download here www.wa.gov.au/safewa 2) Manually fill in the contact register at the registration table.... You may note it is not mandatory until 5th December to maintain these registers however considering the large number of people gathering from all parts of Perth and WA we feel it is a small inconvenience to pay for the protection of our community.
