25.01.2022 Dogs Holiday Havens is excited and proud to be Tasmania's only distributor of the Canine Collection glasses for dogs. If you'd like to know more, drop us a line at [email protected]

24.01.2022 We've had a long booking canceled, opening up a space for a small dog from 21 November to 4 January. Must be a small, 'inside' dog that is friendly with other dogs, desexed and vaccinated. He or she will be in a home with one other small dog, with one of our most experienced minders. Email [email protected]

23.01.2022 At Dogs Holiday Havens, we're about quality, not quantity. We have a small, stable team of minders we trust to provide top rate care according to each dog's needs. Pictured here is Flossie, enjoying her holiday with one of our minders, Sabina in Howrah. #lovethisplace #onlythebestfordogsholidayhavensguests

23.01.2022 Harvey the circus dog, is LOVING his holiday with Liz, Carl and Mackenzie in Margate. Our minders have been busy welcoming all sizes and shapes (and skills!) of dogs into their homes and we are already nearly fully-booked for the July school holidays. For us, its all about word of mouth, so please, if you know someone who loves dogs, has a dog-friendly home in Hobart and surrounding areas and might be interested in joining our team, let them know about us. #wevalueourminders

23.01.2022 Margate Country Dog Resort is the next best thing to Dogs Holiday Havens. Congratulations Amanda, a more apt name for Margate Country Kennels!

22.01.2022 Minders and business owners Andrew and Belinda are lucky their 'Christmas dogs' are regulars they can take to the beach! Awesome and much loved Elvis, Dasha, Maise, Lennie, George, Subie, Pippa, Fergus. Two trips to the beach every day! #onlythebestfordogsholidayhavensguests #toughonholidays

20.01.2022 We have vacancies this long weekend, for existing clients only. #crazydoglady #onlythebestfordogsholidayhavensguests

18.01.2022 If anyone is in the Cockle Creek area, please look out for dear Zara, a member of the Dogs Holiday Havens community. She’s been missing for days. Please share.

17.01.2022 Dear Pocket Rocket is a much-loved Dogs Holiday Havens customer who's had an unsettled few months following his person going into care. To top it off, he injured his leg and is now with Emma at Brightside recovering from major surgery. We have donated to the cost of his surgery. Please consider if you can too.

16.01.2022 One of our busiest minders is Liz and her family on their farm at Margate. This home is ideal for housetrained, social dogs that thrive with space. Liz has many regulars who keep going back, especially black labradors: Jack, Bailey, Harry, Sybil, Holly, Benny and more. Pictured here are the amazing Jussi, Harry, Benny, Molly, Jock, Bernie and George.

15.01.2022 Parvovirus warning!! Please be aware that we have seen several cases of parvovirus in the last couple of weeks and we are aware that several other clinics have ...also been treating cases. Mostly we try to spread a bit of fun on this page, but we need to make a timely reminder that parvovirus is a deadly and all too common threat to your dogs. We often hear many reports of a 'new' disease or an 'outbreak' after it is covered on a local news source. But parvo is an old disease which is ALWAYS present. It may be more common in spring and early summer because the virus lives longer in warm weather and people are more inclined to take young puppies out to play in parks. So, please make sure your dog's vaccines are up to date. If you are unsure check with your vet. Please do not buy puppies unless they have been vaccinated at least a week prior. Don't accept excuses as to why there is no paperwork. I promise you, NO vet will vaccinate a puppy and fail to provide a certificate. Parvovirus is a horrible, highly contagious disease that is very expensive to treat and has a significant mortality rate even with the best treatment. If you need any more information please ring your vet. See more

15.01.2022 An in-home alternative to dog kennels, covering Hobart and surrounding suburbs. Quality checked and approved by over 900 dogs. Our dogs are carefully matched with minders from our smal team. Pre-visits expected and 24-hour back-up provided. A great option for well-socialised dogs that are used to being indoors as part of a family. #onlythebestfordogsholidayhavensguests

05.01.2022 Vale Tas. Lil' man who made us smile many times over the past few years. The only negative about caring for dogs is saying goodbye.

04.01.2022 Dogs Holiday Havens is about quality, not quantity. We match dogs with trusted minders from our small team across the Hobart region, who welcome dogs into their safe homes. Established in 2011 and quality tested by over 900 dogs. We provide great holidays for well-behaved, house-trained and desexed dogs of all shapes and sizes.
