Its such an honour to create artworks in commemoration/celebration of significant events; capturing memories, locations and personalities to be proudly displayed and passed down through the family for years to come. 01.01.2022 A rare photograph of DJW in his natural habitat... now being dutifully overlooked by a 5m x 1.4m panel commissioned in 1988 (one of 4) for Roma Street Travelodge celebrating the Queensland outback. This panel of the artwork slowly made its way home, most recently being gifted back to Donald by fellow artist, Kel Nielsen after selling his property. It is now proudly hung from the mezzanine in Don’s new studio like it was painted to fit! Fancy that!
