21.01.2022 As we celebrate Spring time we notice and observe so may changes within nature. Flowers and plants plants growing and blossoming. Baby animals being born. Sun, rain and rainbows! Kangaroo Group have been sharing pictures of their discoveries and it’s been so lovely to see the world around us through the eyes of a child! When out and about during your permitted outdoor time why not give your child a camera and see what discoveries they make. Photography encourages skills... of observation and creativity and allows us to record our discoveries. It’s also lots of fun and can even lead to other ideas and further discoveries. You might encourage you child by suggesting they take photos that show every colour of the rainbow. The photos could then by printed and cut out to make a collage. Together you and your child might research the names of the plants or flowers they photographed or information about the mini beasts they discovered. The photos might be used to spark conversations at the dinner table or during a phone (or video) call with extended family or grandparents. Digital documentation is a fantastic tool that can be used across multiple age groups. Why not use it to explore the natural environment, we’d love to see your pictures. See more

21.01.2022 Wishing all our kinder families a safe and happy Easter, look after yourselves and each other. We look forward to seeing you back at kinder soon.

05.01.2022 The Koalas have been having such a great time settling into 3 year old kinder. We have been exploring the new environment, getting to know our teachers and even begun making friends. We can often be seen playing independently (solitary), alongside others (parallel), and with others (associative/cooperative). These are all normal stages of play as we grow and develop our social skills. And as we play we are also developing so much more, such as our verbal language skills, fine motor skills, concentration and creativity.

03.01.2022 This Saturday 25th April is Anzac Day. A day many of us in Australia stop and take the time to show our respects to all those Veterans who have represented our country in the armed forces. We are fortunate to live in such a wonderful country as Australia, and may we never forget those who fought and lost their lives or were injured to bring peace to our country. There has been a website set up which our community may be interested in looking at:- www.poppypledge.com.au which allows those in our community who would normally go to a dawn service on Anzac Day the opportunity to feel united with other Australians by going to the end of their driveway or balcony etc at 6am to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country..... LEST WE FORGET

01.01.2022 How to raise emotionally intelligent children If we were told from the very beginning that childhood defines adult mental health, we would take care to be more loving of a child’s soul - Lael Stone Her talk explores how the lack of emotional literacy in our culture has significant power when it comes to the way we parent. It explores how compassion, empathy and mindfulness have a place in raising children as well as in our education system. If connection, listening, and ...heart were at the centre of every relationship, how different could our world be?
