24.01.2022 Hi everyone, if you are intending on going to the Surf Carnival on Sunday in Geraldton and would like to compete in the 1km run, marshaling is at 8am. March past is at 8.30 and events will start at 9am. There are also activities for U6 and U7. See you there.

Sunday morning 24th November Patrol & Running training at 8am, senior swim and competition proficiencys at 9am. Surf club #Woodsidenippers club training at 9.45am.... We are hosting a movie on Saturday 30th November and help is required. Please offer your time to our awesome club its appreciated.

19.01.2022 Broome Sunset Carnival. Anyone wishing to go to Broome in July during the holidays for the carnival and would like to stay at the camp school , please let Rod know by Sunday or ASAP. Places are filling fast by other clubs so we need to let Brad know this weekend.

19.01.2022 Please see below for important dates for our upcoming 20/2021 woodside nippers and surfclub season including proficiency swims, presentations (from last year's season) and season start. Its not too late to register. Head over to www.sls.com.au and "get involved". Please ensure membership fees are paid before the first session either online to DDSLSC BSB 036-131 Account 135 348 or in cash at proficiencies or before the first session at south beach. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

18.01.2022 REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN To renew your membership or to join our club, please go to www.sls.com.au and follow the prompts "Get involved" "Join the movement" to renew your membership. Gateway payment is not available but fees can be paid online to the Dongara Denison SLSC BSB 036-131 Account number 135-348. Please reference payment with your surname. Membership fees for Nippers, Youth (Under 14-Under 17) and Seniors is $50 per person. Woodside Nippers (Under 6-Under 13) will... again receive a free pack at the start of the season which includes a new cap, broad brimmed hat, rashie and sling bag. Nippers must be 5 before signing up. All Woodside Nippers are required to join with a parent/guardian who must also register and pay $50. The club will hold a "Rego Day" at the club on Sunday 20 September, between 10-12pm for members who can not join or pay online or who would like to know more about joining DDSLSC. Season commences on Sunday Nov 1 and runs through to the end of March, 2021. Club events most Sunday mornings from 10am. Updates for the season can be found on this page or the Local Rag. 16.01.2022 Champion Bay Carnival 2020. Thanks to everyone who travelled to Geraldton yesterday to compete and all those that helped out. A special thanks to those that jumped in the water to do water safety. Well done done to those that competed, you showed great sportsmanship. 11.01.2022 Unfortunately due to changes in social distancing rules we are unable to hand out trophies and certificates tomorrow. We will announce award winners via facebook later today and have a wind up when we are able. An unfortunate end to a great season but thanks to everyone who has been involved. 11.01.2022 Sunsmart WA Country Champs are coming up soon. Held in Denmark over the long weekend. 29th Feb- 1st March. For nippers (under 10-13), youth (u15 & u15) and seniors (u17-u19 and open). Nippers need to complete a competition evaluation/ proficency if they want to compete. Please let Ebony know or comment below if you plan on competing in Denmark and we will get those that havent done their proficiency swim done this weekend and registration forms done. REGISTRATIONS MUST BE IN BY 25TH FEBRUARY.

05.01.2022 AUSSIES 2020 | Due to the escalating threat from COVID-19 in Australia, Surf Life Saving Australia has announced that the 2020 Australian Surf Life Saving Champ...ionships on the Gold Coast in April will be cancelled. The Board of SLSA met this afternoon and it was decided there was no other option, following the announcement by the Prime Minister that mass gatherings will be banned in an attempt to reduce the spread of the virus. The health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers, officials and staff are paramount and SLSA also recognises that an event the size of the Aussies, has the potential to attract over 17,000 people to the event and we feel that it is important that we play our part in reducing the spread of the virus out of respect for all Australians and the health care system" said SLSA President Graham Ford AM. Surf Life Saving Australia will arrange refunds for all entry fees already paid for the 2020 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.

05.01.2022 If you are a club volunteer either on the beach with patrols or as an Age Group Manager or have volunteered at the Drive In this season, please consider going to the Sundowner on Friday.

04.01.2022 Just a reminder that competition proficiency swims are only for country and state champs. They are NOT needed for this weekends competition at champion bay. It is a great (calm) venue for new nippers to try out competing. For those under 6s and under 7s too young to compete there are fun supervised activities on the beach for them. Great day out for all.

01.01.2022 In case members have not seen the email sent this morning, Woodside Nippers have been cancelled for the next two weeks. Patrol will continue on Sunday morning and equipment will be available for members to use. Trophies and certificates will be available for collection on Sunday 5 April between 10 and 11am. A very big thank you to everyone who has been involved and participated on the beach throughout the season. We look forward to coming back bigger and better next season.
