25.01.2022 We had a fabulous day and network with people from different spheres of community services, lovely people lovely day. A big thank you to the organisers of the Expo, your handling of the event was perfect, a lot of hard work went into the day, now you can go home and rest after a job well done.

24.01.2022 On the 27th of October we will have a stall at the Central Business & Community Expo being held at Millers Park Branxton from 9am till 3pm. We would love you to come and have a chat about what we do and how we assist women and children escaping domestic violence, plus if there is any questions you may have please do not hesitate to ask. Our Op Shop will also be open from 9am till noon. We have lots of jigsaws for those who love a challenge, its great to sit down and to be ...completely absorbed trying to find out what fits where, plus we also have a lot of spring colour in the shop in the way of clothes, bric brac, handbags etc. We so look forward to seeing you at the Expo and of cause our Op Shop.

16.01.2022 As you know know the bush fire danger was very close to home on Tuesday and the danger is going to be still there on Tuesday next week. We want to take this time to thank all those wonderful Fire Fighters, Helicopter Pilots and Police who did such a magnificent job of stopping the bush fire from becoming an horrendous situation. You all arrived so fast and worked so hard to assist our wonderful community. Thank you also for the text messages letting us know about the imminent danger. You are our heros and we admire you all so much because you place your own lives in danger to save people, their homes and of cause our beautiful wild life.

16.01.2022 On Monday a photo album came to the shop with other donations. We are sure someone must be missing their wedding photos, the bride and groom are such a beautiful looking couple. 09.01.2022 Due to the COVID 19 virus and lack of volunteers, we will only be opening the Op Shop from 10am till 2pm Monday to Friday, this is of cause only a temporary situation but in saying that we still need your business to keep Jodies Place operating. This will come into effect as of tomorrow Thursday 19th March. Everyone please stay healthy and safe and lets hope things get back to normal real soon.

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, sometimes you may think we are a little bit more expensive then other op shops, the reason for this is we pay close to $1600.00 in rent each month plus excess water and of cause phone and power. After we have paid out our expenses the rests goes to keeping Jodies Place operating, as we have stated before Jodies Place is not government funded, we rely solely on our wonderful community and have for the past seven years. So please when you visit us and make a purchase, except for the shop expenses you are assisting a local womens and childrens refuge, you never know when you, a relative or even friend may need our services in the future and we certainly want to be there for those women and children escaping domestic violence.

02.01.2022 First off I would like to apologise to those ladies who have left their number for volunteering, we lost the book of contact numbers. Is there anyone in our local area or even outside our area who would like to volunteer their time at our Op Shop, we are open 9am till 4pm Monday to Friday and the last Saturday in the month if we have enough people to open. We have pleasant surroundings, parking out the back and lovely people to volunteer with, we work as a team with no bullyi...ng tolerated, so please if you have some spare time come to the shop 75 Maitland Street, Branxton and well have a chat about hours that is suitable to you and of cause if you have any ideas we can use to improve our service dont hesitate in telling us, because if you are interested you will become an integral part of team Jodies Place.
