Although recent changes to border controls, Removalists ARE considered an essential service under freight & logistics definitions by each State Government and ARE able to move your goods. CAN I STILL MOVE HOUSE DURING COVID19? Currently, Removalists as an essential logistics service ARE able to move your goods either locally or interstate and we promote safe moving practices with increased hygiene and social distancing wherever possible. We also ask that if you have, are showing symptoms of, or have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 that you Double J office know in advance so we can best support your move / move timing safely post any relevant quarantine measures. MOVING HOUSE DURING LOCK DOWN? As per other countries, 2 to 3 week blanket laws to futher restrict travel between houses in Australia has been applied. Lockdown has been implemented here, therefore we advise customers to follow the Government regulations set out. Social Distancing for 2-3 weeks after a move! We are working to understand procedures if a TOTAL lockdown was to happen. We would expect to reorganise any moves to happen as soon as possible once able or work with customers for re-scheduling. We have compiled the information from a range of publically available government websites, and from individual confirmation on certain understandings directly from some government agencies. - Removalists ARE exempt from requiring 14 days self isolation and ARE able to move your goods interstate to your new home under the Government definition of essential Freight & Logistics services.
