20.01.2022 From little things big things grow!! Today features our own home bred With Edge! The Canford Cliffs 3yo has only had 3 starts for 2 seconds and a 3rd showing he has plenty of ability to earn for his owners! A quirky character he likes to ‘tap dance’ in the tie ups, his constant on the move attitude akin to a kid on red cordial! Under saddle he is a complete professional, a favoured ride amongst our riders! Out of Viva La Scent he has 2 siblings, a 2 yo by Warhorse who is featured in Search Squads profile video and a yearling by Fighting Sun! Both who are already taller than their older brother! And whilst Viva is cooking another baby for this season we hope her first born son can win plenty of races for his connections!

18.01.2022 A very pleasing run from everyone’s favourite little Trier today Argyle Belle, 2 nd up today over the far too short 1700 after missing the start badly first up at Sandown, she jumped well today at Sale under the expertise of young Ben Allen she settled towards the back of the field before weaving her way through the field and flashing home for 3rd! A very pleasing effort! Look forward to getting her out to her pet trips of 2000m and beyond!

18.01.2022 Today’s pony profile is none other than our bold front running stayer in Cleos’s Poet a winner of 4 races, 9 (yes he has been called Tom Melbourne) 2nds and 4 3rds to amass a touch over $122,000 in prize money. His bold front running style and skipping away on the bends is akin to the great vo rogue (though unfortunately not as fast) he has lead fields in distances from 1200 to 2400, this prep gaining himself two fourth placings over 1200 and 1500 1st and 2nd up. The son of P...oets Voice can be a handful to ride flatly refusing to go in a straight line in his slow work (his hoof prints often resemble that of a drunk after a night out) and showing enormous balance in his tight rope work balancing on the edge of the training track yet rarely letting a foot touch the drain. With his balance and flexibility we feel he may have been a circus performer in a past life!! He can take hold of the tiniest rip in his rug halfway down his back and tear his rug to shreds! He loves to put things in his mouth whether it be lead ropes, rugs or his bell boots (you can always pick Poets bell boots they’re the ones with the chewed edges!) and has recently discovered a fondness for cookies (Hygain Smoochies), he loves to jump (the only time he goes straight) and loves a cuddle or to ‘help’ clean his box. 18.01.2022 The ever reliable honest Reliabelle kicked off her campaign today in stellar form with the honest grey mare flashing home to run 4th today at Sandown over the very unsuitable 1300m! She now has 10 4ths on her record!! Her form reading 33 starts 4 wins 3 2nds and 6 3rds that’s 23 runs in the first 4 can’t say she’s not consistent!

16.01.2022 Getting out of lockdown like...... After a few days off wild weather and torrential rain our racehorses were happy to be allowed back into their day paddocks with the improving forecast rather than being locked in their boxes keeping warm and dry!! #cleospoet #teddy

15.01.2022 It’s so rewarding seeing our home bred babies grow and develop into racehorses here pictured are our 2 Dandino now 2 yos ‘Little Ears’ and Tommy (Lord Havelock) after a trot and canter around the track, Tommy as a foal with mum O’Marie and Little as a weanling, they’ve both grown ALOT and in case you can’t tell by the smiles on our riders faces they are 2 of their favourite horses! 12.01.2022 Today we have an honorary profile, a horse that isn’t racing but still plays an integral part of the team at Havelock Park. Group 3 winner Another Neptune, also making history being a winner of his 100th race start, the old chestnut retired after 127 starts for 11 wins 11 seconds and 11 3rds, he did a stint as a pleasure horse then came back to Havelock Park where he enjoys the occasional pensioners day out babysitting the young ones at the races, dragging his handler to and ...from his paddock as he jogs along in excitement. The 26 yo also plays paddock mate to some our young ones when they spell. He’s the chestnut in the video, the other being our Warhorse x Viva La Scent 2yo who has just gone out for a spell At 26 years old and 127 starts I think the old boy moves pretty well! 11.01.2022 A day in the life of a 2 yo at Havelock Park! 1 breakfast and your room cleaned 2 work 3 roll in the nice deep sand roll before a bath 4 paddock time with your bestie that means the day consisted of more breakfast eating grass playing and sunshine snoozes... 5 back to the nice warm box for sleep and do it all again tomorrow! These 2 boys spelled together after breaking in and work together the very best of buddies! They very much enjoyed their play date and no fur was removed in their playing!
