24.01.2022 We were so proud to donate towards the Dowerin District High School 2020 Awards. Congratulations to all the winners! Andrea was delighted to attend and present the Year 5/6 Awards. A bank giving back sounds unusual. For us, it's business as usual.

22.01.2022 Meet Rosey everyone!! Doesn't she look great? A big well done to the Dowerin Engineering Works who have done a fantastic job making her. All the excitement will be across the road from us tomorrow, as Rosey is placed in her new home.

08.01.2022 This morning is one of the "True Privilege" moments. Mrs Carmel Redding is attending the online funeral from Albany of her childhood friend Mrs Gilda Lynch. Carmel has shared how appropriate it is to be viewing the service in the room that was the lounge room of Mrs Lynch's family home when they lived in Dowerin, and she shared many happy memories and times with the family. Dowerin CRC is in the original CBA Bank building, Mr Parker (Gilda's father) was the Bank Manger during that time.

08.01.2022 Our Better beginnings (storytime) was a big success on Friday Morning. A big Thank you to Patsy for being our special guest. Lots of great feed back from families saying what a great morning it was. The children finished up outside in our back area, eating some juicy watermelon Watermelon....Watermelon...I love...You love Watermelon Now you can have that song stuck in your head too

08.01.2022 How lucky are we to have the Dowerin bakery/Newsagency!?! With their yummy dine in or take away cafe type meals plus their delicious baked goods, as well as supplying us with all our office needs, school book list items can still be collected if you havn't ordered already. Mon-Fri 8am - 4:30pm Saturday 8am - 12:30pm

Photos of the Rail Heritage shed which is in the silo on Minnivale station taken from old bakery site, Minnivale free camp site (no bookings) and the Methodist Church where you can enjoy creating corn dollies demonstrations by Lesley McNee between 1.30 and 3.30pm. 05.01.2022 ON THE UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS - THURSDAY 1ST OCTOBER: We sincerely and gratefully acknowledge our Seniors as a significant part of our social fabric and recognise the important role you play in the life of our Dowerin Community Resource Centre, as members, volunteers and customers. DCRC endeavours to offer as many opportunities for our senior community members to engage with others across all generations, and statistically (thank you, Census 2019!), our Seniors land at # ONE of the top five target groups for a majority of statewide CRCs programs, activities and services.

Even with the quiet January period they are remaining open with their usual hours, Monday- Friday 8am -5:30pm and Saturday 8am -12pm, though try your luck, as Helen will often still have the store open at 12:30pm/1pm Saturdays if needed. #supportlocal

01.01.2022 WOW! we had an amazing turn out for Talk tackle with 40 men turning up to share, listen and socialize with others. The feedback has been amazing on what a great night it was. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated. A big Thank you to Jamie, Murray and Barry and to Owen & Tom from Men's regional health. You all helped to make this a successful night.
