25.01.2022 We’re gonna need a bigger loft.

25.01.2022 Happy New Year’s Eve tassie sailors 2020 may not have been everyone’s favourite year but the Derwent Sailing Squadron Inc L2H race has certainly finished it off on a high. Congrad’s to all competitors on a tough race.... Bring on 2021

22.01.2022 Hey everyone! Just thought we’d update you all on where we are right now... Doyle Tasmania is still open for business. We’re listening to the updates everyday and just playing it by ear, like everyone else. This is a tough time for everyone, especially for small local businesses. If there is anything we can do here to help accomodate you, such as pick ups and delivery of sails and chandlery products, do not hesitate to get in touch by phone, email, or text. We are doing everything we can here and following all recommended guidelines, including disinfecting surfaces, washing hands and social distancing. Look after yourselves and each other!

21.01.2022 It’s Crown Series time! Good luck to all competing, have a great weekend. The loft and chandlery will be closed tomorrow, as we will all be out sailing. For any emergencies, you will find us at Bellerive Yacht Club after racing, although we will be at least one or two beers deep

20.01.2022 FilePro Sailing - Tim Gadsby Known as the old Cuckoos Nest, the now named Lyons 40 FILEPRO owned by the syndicate of Tim, Graham and Ollie is looking like a brand new boat! Another boat that's gone under a huge refit and restoration this year, FilePro is looking her showroom best. Tim and co. have been awesome to work with, and we're proud to have been working with them for so many years! FilePro's latest addition had been a Stratis #4 and Stratis Offshore Mainsail. FilePro w...as also the first boat we were lucky enough to build a Cableless Code Zero for in Tasmania! Another of our Doyle Tas apprentices is onboard - Steph Speirs in the pit, doing her first Sydney Race. Be sure to be at the docks to welcome them in on New Years! Good Luck Team FilePro, have an awesome race! #poweredbydoyle

20.01.2022 Nice spread of Tassie boats in the Winners’ Circle over Christmas!

20.01.2022 The loft will be closed tomorrow as the team are out enjoying the long weekend! Half of us are headed up the coast for the SB20 Australia National Championships, and the other half are going south for the Port Cygnet Sailing Club Regatta. We will be back on deck Tuesday. Enjoy a great weekend of sailing!

19.01.2022 2 Unlimited - Greg Prescott The modified Farr 40 is in Sydney ready for her second attempt at the S2H this year, after last year's race left them as Line Honours winner of the Sydney to Bicheno Race. Keep an extra keen eye out for those pesky sunfish this year, Nick... But the boat is back in one piece and looking better than ever! This boat has been an awesome and such an exciting project to be apart of over the last two years, and we cant thank Enzo enough for his support.... 2 Unlimited is sporting a pretty speccy sail inventory this year - she will definitely be one to watch! Good luck Enzo and crew, and good luck Lachie in your first S2H! See you guys in Hobart #poweredbydoyle

18.01.2022 Midnight Rambler - Ed Psaltis The seventh Midnight Rambler is proudly representing Tassie and the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania for the first time in this year's Sydney Hobart! Ed and his Sydney 36 have made the move to Hobart and we're super excited to be working with a legend of the race such as Ed. Ed is sailing with a mix of Tassies and Sydneysiders onboard with a combined S2H experience of 98 races(!) - and part of the Tassie contingent is Lucy Rees as Bowman - one of ou...r apprentices here at Doyle Tas. Good luck Ed, and enjoy your first time racing home! #poweredbydoyle

16.01.2022 Bellerive Yacht Club Crown Series is on again and we are proud to be sponsoring and taking part in it this year! The loft and chandlery will be unmanned for the weekend as all Doyle Tas staff are competing in this great event. If anyone needs anything just grab one of us at the club and we will do our best to keep you on the water.... Good luck all

16.01.2022 We made the newsletter!! Every month Doyles feature a loft to showcase the diversity of our group. This month it's our turn.

13.01.2022 Talofa - Rob Cawthorn Rob and Judi’s Northshore 38 TALOFA is again representing the Kettering Yacht Club in the Launnie this year. This is Talofa’s fourth Launceston to Hobart Race. Good luck Rob and crew! We’ll see you in Hobart!... #poweredbydoyle

10.01.2022 Nice one Timmy! FilePro Sailing

09.01.2022 Magic Miles - Michael Crew One of Hobart's two Dynamique 62's, Magic Miles is competing in her fourth Rolex Sydney to Hobart yacht race. Magic Miles is owned and skippered by QANTAS pilot Michael Crew and navigated by the boat's charter skipper Barry Bruce. When not racing in the blue water classic, Magic Miles can be found providing charter cruises in the River Derwent and southern Tasmania as part of Hobart Yachts. Magic Miles will surely be one of very few yachts racing wi...th full washing machine, dryer, icemaker and coffee machine on board! But don't worry, Barry assures us that the tea towels will be left on the dock to save weight Good luck Magic Miles! #poweredbydoyle

08.01.2022 Summer racing must be just around the corner!

07.01.2022 Andrew Wilson's latest book on Australia's famous blue water classic Sydney to Hobart yacht race is now available at Doyle Sails Tasmania. Photographer Andrew Wilson has included some amazing photographs and equally amazing stories from some of the legends of this great race in his latest publication. Available as a signed and numbered Deluxe edition or as a standard edition. If you love everything there is to love about the Sydney to Hobart be sure to add this book to your collection.

05.01.2022 Well done to all that competed in the Crown Series over the weekend! Great to see such tight racing across all divisions. Enjoy some nice shots from Jane Austin and Flight Risk Photography of some of the Doyle gear spotted on the water #poweredbydoyle

03.01.2022 Team Runaway - Jo Breen & Dave Aplin After having sold their respective yachts Whistler and Morning Star earlier this year, Dave and Jo bought the Sayer 11 RUNAWAY to Hobart in June this year. Dave and Jo had a very successful year in sailing in 2018, with Jo taking out second place in the short handed Melbourne to Osaka Race and then later the duo took out the treble of handicaps in the 2018 Westcoaster Race. Let's hope they can bring that same success to this year and this... new boat! RUNAWAY is looking a treat and with a new Stratis Cableless furling Jib Top on board for the Sydney, we're sure she's gonna be a weapon! Good luck Apples and Jo! Runaway Racing #poweredbydoyle

02.01.2022 For those of you travelling to Spring Bay this weekend for the SB20 Australia Nationals, Jodie Riley at JR Custom Canvas will be on deck for sail repairs. Doyle’s have provided sail repair materials from our loft in Hobart, so be sure to give Jodie a call if you’re after any regatta repairs. Good luck on the water everyone!

02.01.2022 Big shout out to Toby Richardson, who’s back in the Etchells this year! Toby and his team are currently competing in the Nationals at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club. Good luck Toby, Bill and Jack! We’ll be watching
