25.01.2022 There has been a significant drop in the number of mammograms being carried out by BreastScreen Australia due to COVID-19. According to the Australian Institute... of Health and Welfare, more than 70,000 mammograms were performed in Australia in March 2020 but this dropped dramatically to just over 1,000 in April. If you are due for a breast screen, please ensure you make an appointment and follow the COVID-safety protocols. Early detection of breast cancer gives the best possible chance of survival. The earlier an abnormality is discovered, the greater the number of effective treatment options available which ensures the best possible outcome. #ZeroBy2030 #Breastscreening See more
