23.01.2022 Use of spurs The spurs is there for "remind". If you are using it constantly or often, asking for forward, sideward, then, you have lost the driving aids and your horse is "dead".... cheers CINDY

22.01.2022 A lady ask me how to lunge her horse like i did with Jachllah. Long story short Her horse is 9 years old, 16.2 hh gelding. ... She said she lunge her horse with side reins on and when finished, her horse will rise up the neck and head immediately when detached from it. AND "trying" to bite her. She has difficulty to ride her horse, the head is everywhere, that's why she started to lunge with side reins on. But, somehow it gets worse. Piggaroo is happening.. I let her show me how she do the job. Horse is totally against her hand to click it on to the bit, and of course against the side reins. The eyes rolling, under neck muscles shows clearly, tummy blows... It's too short i said. But then horse will pull the side reins high, when l lengthen it, she said. Yes, indeed, horse did it, the nose towards to the blue sky. She walk a lot, with lunge whipp in hand, walk is fine, but you shouldn't walk EVERYWHERE (unlessis a 2,3 years old) You must stand on BASE. Like baseball's base size. But then horse won't go. etc .... ... It is not the head, neck position issues, i told her. It is mostly HOW you ride your horse. I told her what I think the problems she has, and to solve it. I never hear her, see her, read her messages again. I have problems too. We are all learning. Knowing and work on it, is what we can do, because horse has no idea what we did to them. THEY REACT. 22.01.2022 When the balance is ok on the lunge, i then let her go by herself few round. Lesson one, keep the horse straight (along the wall). Use your inside leg and inside rein as " boundary" so that Fritz would not "step in" into the center.... It sounds simple, and yes, it is simple, but yet, it is not simple. Practice is what she need. Practice in simple mind and simple way. cheers CINDY

Result involved with lunging Lunging involved with prepare the horse Prepare involved with, find the hand pressure that pony West understand what is about: bending, slow down, forward, use the hindquarters, neck stretch, body stretch .. etc.. most of all, trust and understand the hand.... Ride Steady tempi/ rhythm at this stage of West's training. Until he build up his bodily strength, he will have knowing the routine of his performance life. 13.01.2022 Ohje..Whilhelm has two full stops. Whilhelm used to stop when he need to poo, no matter what. I always pay attention, if i feel he wants to, I'll make him keep going, no matter what. ... Whilhelm also pooped a lot. Few drops here and few drops there as he wishes. When we finished our ride, i usually walk with wheelbarrow the whole arena, to pick it all up. He will stand there and wait. As i mentioned, Whilhelm loves canter and he run happily. I was concentrated on shifting his weight in canter, he was concentrated too. With full power, he stopped and pooped !!! my ... And then he did it again !!!!! Luckily i have lower back supporter on How important is upright sit too. Now he enjoys his reward as lawnmower. cheers CINDY

12.01.2022 Finished our ride, picking up poo, Fritz went walk about. He like to walk by himself As long as i am busy, he will walk and watching me. Fritz does not like "dead" hands. He found dead hands threatening. ... Steady hands doesn't mean not moving or just holding the reins tight. Steady hands have feeling, it feels horse's mouth. You must have balanced sit to be able to have steady hands. cheers CINDY

11.01.2022 Get the feeling with dear darling Fritz Sideways You need to know how, and keep forwardness and the slop, again and again and again and again and again and again...... Then, you are able and understand, how and what to do with your hands. After that, always lengthen the stride to "gathering" the energy . cheers CINDY

10.01.2022 Horse riding Dressage What is dressage ? Dressage is doing the fancy stuff ... Doing the fancy stuff, you need a supple and elastic and powerful and willing horse Powerful, power come from behind. Behind, traveling through under your seat and GOES to your hands (!) then to horse's neck, head, mouth, then back to under your seat to create new power come from behind (hindquarters). The front getting lighter. Your hands feel lighter. Your horse's neck come closer to your hands ( your hips, pelvic, your seat) You feel you are sitting on arched horse's back: soft but with strength, light but with power. The energy keep COMING into your hands. That is dressage Let's work on it, shall we ? cheers CINDY

07.01.2022 Collection Before we ride collected paces We must know It is not shorten the reins.... It is the way you feel Moving forward you and your horse, with energy from behind so that your hands feels like holding wet sponges. Then, half-halt come to practice. Half-halt without loosing forwardness, it is the other way (!) , half-halt create power. Practice it with feeling. cheers CINDY

I have 2 brothers and one sister We live togather with human mom and dad Mom keep us healthy, clean our room and garden. Dad make sure food is enough for us. I am so glad that I wasn't born 100 years ago. Yes, mom told me what was the purpose of horses back that time. My ancestors did a lot for humans. We are still doing a lot for humans.
