20.01.2022 Hi everyone, As the COVID-19 restrictions start to ease in Queensland, we have been eagerly anticipating information on when we can resume playing volleyball. While recent announcements that some sport and fitness activities can resume now are encouraging, the limitations (including having no more than 20 people in a venue) present some challenges for us, which we need to work through before we can offer 'small group' training. The ‘Return to Play’ guidelines from the State ...Government provides some further welcome news in this area, and indicates that we may be able to return to our full indoor volleyball training programs from 10 July 2020 (Stage 3 the full guidelines are here: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au//1/return-to-play-guide.pdf). While this date remains subject to change, we are hopeful that it will remain in place and that we can get back on the court. Similarly, we expect that volleyball competitions such as Premier Volleyball League and Phoenix League will be able to resume shortly after this, although it is likely that some format and schedule changes will be made. We will advise separately as information becomes available, and as communicated previously, our expectation is that we will adjust our fees appropriately to take the changes to our programs into account. In the meantime, please stay healthy and fit, and get ready for a return to play!

18.01.2022 Announcement on 2021 Term 1 Spikezone and Junior Training Program (JTP): Some of our sessions are full, however you can still register as waitlist. Due to COVID Safe requirement that has imposed on a cap on number of players permitted in each court and based on hall size, we are adjusting and moving players into different groups to keep an eye on the number of kids we can accept. More places will be released over the next couple of weeks. If you have waitlisted, we will be in touch as soon as we can. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send us a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. A reminder NO REGISTRATION, NO ENTRY. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, Firstly some good news: the State Government has approved a COVID Safe Industry Plan that permits a return to volleyball, albeit under specific conditions for Stage 2 of the Queensland Return to Play Guidelines, which is currently in effect. More information on the Industry Plan (Indoor Sports Group) can be found here: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au//approved-industry-covid-sa While we are continuing to work through how we can apply these conditions to our pro...grams, many of our usual training venues are not yet available for hire, and we are in regular contact with them on when we might return. Across our programs: Senior PVL planned resumption of training early to mid-July, with games commencing in August. The latest planning from VQ is here: https://www.vq.org.au/competitio/premier-volleyball-league/. Junior PVL trials are expected to commence mid/late-July, with games commencing in August. Junior Training Program/ Academy/ Spikezone anticipated to return late Term 3. General (Thursday) training likely to resume in July. Phoenix league season resumption to be advised separately, likely July/ August. Again, these dates remain subject to change with the circumstances, and venue availability becomes clear.

16.01.2022 And last but not least, a big congratulations to our Under 19 Red girls who have just won their gold medal! Great game Dragons! #dragonsvolleyball #indoor #brisbanevolleyball #juniorvolleyball #premiervolleyballleague #finals
