21.01.2022 We recently completed a Pipe Lining installation to a section of earthenware (Clay) sewer drain at one of Melbourne Grammar Schools Grimwade Campus residence in Caulfield that had just been renovated. The drain had various tree root intrusions and breaks in the main sewer drain to be relined as excavating and replacing the drain in PVC would mean ripping up concrete and landscaping with brick garden beds and established trees and shrubs. We recently completed a pipe lining job in Brunswick involving pipelining of a main sewer drain servicing a house, as well as pipelining the lead off junction for the Boundary Trap. http://drainsolutions.com.au/pipe-relining-sewer-junction-/ This tree root infested junction is at the downstream end of the main house drain and was b...roken and badly misaligned, leaving around a 25mm lip in the drain. As you can imagine, this was causing frequent sewer blockages at the property as we were getting called out regularly to unblocked the sewer with our high pressure water jetter. The owner asked us to investigate the cause of the blocked sewer. We then used our CCTV in pipe camera to inspect the cause of the blockages to the main drain and junction. We then installed a pipe lining junction repair in Brunswick using our Pipelining Trenchless Technology. First we relined the main drain, followed by pipe lining the junction to create a seamless pipe within the existing pipe. This smooth relined pipe allows the debris from the sewer drain to transition smoothly over the misaligned join at the junction, preventing further blockages. 13.01.2022 We recently were called out to Melbourne Grammar Schools South Yarra Campus in Melbourne, to unblock a stormwater drain running under a building. When we arrived on site, we opened the downstream pit and found a large tree root intrusion growing in the pit and through the reflex valve that is installed on this drain, restricting the outlet of this 225mm PVC pipe to approximately 25%. We setup our High Pressure Water Jet Truck and got to work unblocking the drain. Upon removi...ng some of the tree roots in the pit so we could unblock the drain, it became evident that the tree roots were growing through where the pipe penetrates through the pit. We removed the reflux valve for better access to the drain. Next, we cleaned the drain with the High Pressure Water Jet Truck to remove some tree roots and debris from the drain and after several passes we had cleaned enough of the finer roots to see the main source of the problem two approximately 30-40mm tree roots growing up the drain. Once we were able to cut these off and remove the bulk of the finer roots, we were able to free the root trail from the drain and remove it. Once we removed the 5m long root mass, we were able to give the drain another clean with the Water Jet to remove any further debris that was still in the drain. Finally we reinstalled the reflux valve so that the drain was again operational. 11.01.2022 We recently completed cleaning of a sewer pump pit with our vacuum truck, at the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto Hotel, in the basement of the hotel. We removed all the debris from the sewer pump pit with our vacuum truck, as well as using our high pressure water jetter to clean all the walls and equipment in the pump pit, to allow for installation of a new electric macerator pump to be installed.
