13.01.2022 Happy International Day of the Midwife. Today we celebrate all the wonderful midwives that we have here at Calvary Riverina and the care that they provide to ...our women and their families. Our midwives are passionate about providing the highest standard of care from antenatal education, antenatal care, birth suite, postnatal care and caring for babies in the Special Care Nursery.

12.01.2022 Although this year is different to any other, we will all still pause to remember the ANZAC spirit and thank all of those men and women who have given us all the opportunities we have in Australia. May their spirit and faith live on in us. Lest We Forget.

12.01.2022 With the COVID-19 situation continuing to improve in the Riverina, we are further easing visitation restrictions at Calvary Riverina Hospital. From 17 June 2020..., one single visitor will be permitted per patient at any one time. One single child visitor may accompany a single adult visitor. Visits are restricted to the patient’s room and children must remain with their adult carer at all times. Your safety remains our primary responsibility. Screening questions and temperature checks for all visitors and staff will continue. Social/physical distancing of one person per 4 square metres as well as 1.5 metres separation will be required, and we ask for your support and co-operation in ensuring the number of people in the ward or room is consistent with social/physical distance guidelines. We are pleased to be able to take this next step in easing restrictions, and thank patients and visitors for continuing to follow the directions of staff. Please remember to use the hand sanitiser stations at the entrance and throughout the hospital.

09.01.2022 We are taking things pretty seriously around here in regards to the Covid19 health crisis, as we have an extremely important job to do!! Here’s some pointers on how we are helping. Things we are doing to help protect our patients: Regular disinfection to our equipment.... Limits on waiting room capacity. Wearing masks if we are in close contact. Shorter consultations whenever possible. Hand Sanitiser is readily available. Things you can do to help protect us: PLEASE DO NOT COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE UNWELL!!!! Please come alone when possible, do not bring your children. PHONE AHEAD prior to your appointment... we will estimate what time you should come in. Sometimes we may ask you to wait in your car. Reschedule your appointment if you feel that it’s not important at this time. Please be mindful that we are trying to keep appointments brief. Phone and Telehealth consultations are now available. PLEASE HELP US TO STAY WELL SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO SEE YOU.

09.01.2022 We are pleased to inform you from today, 6 May 2020 we have eased visitation restrictions at Calvary Riverina Hospital. Due to the limited evidence of community... transmission of COVID-19 in Wagga and the wider Riverina, one nominated visitor per patient will be permitted to visit. Social distancing of 1.5 metres separation will still be required, and screening and temperature checks for all staff and visitors will continue as usual. Remember that hand hygiene is important. Please continue to use our hand sanitiser stations at the entrances and throughout the hospital.
