17.01.2022 Hi Ya all , here is some photos of what common rail Diesel engines do to them selves, I think the car manufacturers should be liable for this happening to these engines , this is a Mitsubishi Triton 2016 4N15 engine ,what happens is you have oil from your breather hose from the engine admitting oil into you air intake tubing , then it goes in your turbo, through the intercooler and piping then into your intake manifold , and on the other side of the intake manifold you have a...n EGR valve admitting exhaust into your intake manifold, which is now making a sludge mixture which bakes on into your intake manifold , throttle body , and intake ports and valves. It takes around 3-6 hrs or more (depending on what make of vehicle it is ) labour to clean the intake manifold and throttle body and intake ports out and reassemble. Once this is done you need to fit a catch can to the engine breather pipe , and block off the EGR pipe with a blanking plate to stop this from happening. I know they say it is pollution control thats why they do it , that is crap , it does more harm to your engine and the environment when your engine cant breathe and is admitting black soot on acceleration, and besides that DPF filters go burns and admit all the soot caught by them off into the environment when doing this burn , so I cant see the point of them ! Anyway if your diesel is blowing black soot this is your problem. See more

I am the second owner , it had 63,000 miles on it when I bought it , I have all the original log books ,radio wheels and 770 hub caps and dress rims stored if I want to go back to original . Next step 8/71 Supercharger and R3 Block

15.01.2022 Repaired a oil leak from a 904 auto oil pump , someone had stripped the lower right hand bolt hole , instead of repairing it , filled it full of black silastic , and put the bolt back in , so I removed the pump , filled a helicoil , new gasket , realigned the pump housings , fitted a new pump oring , and reassembled it .

13.01.2022 Well another 265 Hemi done and dusted , it was a very good block to start with , nice clean un corroded water jacks , it should run very nice , head inserted for ULP , balanced, block decked , small cam , and yella Terra rockers , should make good power and Torque down low to mid range , good street engine Safe motoring

12.01.2022 A chev 383 Stroker in a hot rod with a hyd roller in it had a problem of surging and fluttering on cruise , checked the ignition timing and it was advancing way to much , went to adjust the advance weights and found the culprit, the brass gear razor sharp and ready to give up the gosht , normal for a engine with high volume oil pumps and roller cams , fitted a new one and timing was mint , 10deg @ idle and 32deg total advance ,

11.01.2022 VW Jetta Turbo petrol FSI direct injection, so basically a petrol with diesel innovation, the carbon build up is bad so had the injectors cleaned , and I am cleaning up the intake valves and ports , it should give it better performance

10.01.2022 And a old Jeep with a ton of work , rear main seal , timing cover gasket and water pump gasket , harmonic balancer it spun and was rubbing on the timing cover , make new auto cooler steel line , auto service , remove power steering box and pump to get leaks repaired, intake valley gaskets, fit MSD ready to run dizzy and coil ,new spark plugs gapped to suit the MSD , repair stripped alternator mounting bolt hole in head,their was more but to much to list .

08.01.2022 The only thing about barn finds and little old lady cars only ever drove it to church is they need a lot of lovin , radiator and cooling system , full brake overhaul, suspension, and the typical chassis rail repair, and the fuel tank rusted badly on the inside , oil leaks , so basically a mechanical overhaul. But still worth as the old girls only go up in price .

06.01.2022 Finally some work done on my barracuda, front cut off due to chassis rails being bent from a previous accident, so I cut the front end off an AP6 sedan , and my legend mate Cie and his bro Jade stitched it back on . Cie does a awesome job , and I just don’t have the time to give Barry the loving he needs .

05.01.2022 Gday , well arent DOHC cars fun to replace valve stem seals , I made up a jig and and used a valve spring tool on the retainer , and had this old ford log motor tappet adjustment tool/lever tool lying around and it worked a treat . Now to get onto some old school Fords And Valiants . Safe motoring
