23.01.2022 Just took delivery of this Didgeridoo which is 1500mm long and plays well. Painting done by Vaughn Lee Art. It has two outback scenes, one on each side. It will be finished with a coat of clear varnish to protect the artwork and then some bees wax on the mouth piece...

The species for this set is Bloodwood is generally sourced from the South Western region of Queensland as the arid climate produces very slow growing therefore a very rich colour. $30.95 in store and can be posted for around $10.00 extra.

The top is 1800 mm long x 900 mm deep x 1050 mm high, and constructed from a uniquely figured Camphor Laurel slab. The frame is also constructed from Camphor Laurel slab sides and internal divider and shelves. A space for a mini bar fridge is included in the design alongside two shelves.... 16.01.2022 Amazing the variation of work we are asked to undertake. The beautiful grain in the timber stock was covered over with black paint. Looks much better with 6 coats of clear lacquer.

A penny has been inset in epoxy resin infused with fluorescent powder which glows in the dark after charging by direct sunlight. 07.01.2022 What do we call this piece?????

06.01.2022 Paul has just completed this UNIQUE clock made from Cape York Mangrove base. After cleaning with oxalic acid to remove the grey patina (surface) and a special job sanding the textured piece, he finished it with a satin lacquer. The clock is 350 mm long x 250 mm high with an USA clock mechanism. We are looking for a name to call the piece and would appreciate any feedback. Two options so far are: Frill Neck Lizard and... Fangorn Forest. See more

05.01.2022 These two sets, also turned in the shop are made from Black Gidgee and Western Dead Finish exotic species are also sourced from the South Western Queensland region. The edges are cleaned without losing the natural texture and finished with Satin lacquer.

03.01.2022 The GAVÒN, a natural edge Bowl This piece has been expertly turned (in house) from the base of a Tasmanian HUON PINE tree estimated to be around 300 years old, highlighting the structure of the natural edge and in particular, accentuating the highly prized Birds Eye throughout this excellent piece. Whilst the bowl looks elliptical in shape, it is in fact round and is just under 300 mm in diameter and 200 mm in height. The natural honey colour is highlighted with 3 coats of... satin finish lacquer and a base coat of french polish (shellac and methylated spirits) $500.00 fixed HUON PINE Lagarostrobos franklinii is a species of conifer native to the wet southwestern corner of Tasmania, Australia. It is often known as the Huon pine or Macquarie pine The wood is highly prized for its golden yellow colour, fine grain, and natural oils that resist rotting. The chemical giving the timber its unique smell and preservative qualities is methyl eugenol. It has been planted in the grounds of Crathes Castle, Aberdeenshire, and has done well. Two healthy specimens can also be found at Torosay Castle, Isle of Mull. The family is a classic member of the Antarctic flora, with its main centres of diversity in Australasia, particularly Tasmania, and New Zealand,
