21.01.2022 Good news Parks and Wildlife Service staff are welcoming the public back to the following tracks and reserves following the severe weather yesterday. ALL TRAC...KS HAVE REOPENED AT: Tasman National Park including Three Capes Freycinet National Park Maria Island National Park Mount Field National Park Hartz Mountains National Park Four wheel-drive tracks on the West Coast including Lake Spicer Track, Mount Jukes Track (Intercolonial Spur), Darwin Plateau Track and Mt McCall Track (Franklin River Road). CURRENT CLOSURES: Douglas-Apsley National Park Leeaberra Walking Track due to nearby fire Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park - Jane River Track due to nearby fire Southwest National Park - Strathgordon due to bushfire. Fires under hot, dry and windy conditions can travel very fast so it’s important for everyone to stay informed in case conditions change. Please check with visitor centres and visit the Parks website for a complete list of closures: https://parks.tas.gov.au/explore-/know-before-you-go/alerts
