17.01.2022 Vision Splendid is the first open-air outback film festival of its kind. Its held in Winton, the birthplace of Waltzing Matilda and QANTAS, one of the few places where you can still watch a film under the stars. The festival celebrates Australian film and attracts leading Australian filmmakers such as Bill Leimbach and people such as the family of Australian Legend, Slim Dusty. We developed the brand mark to evoke the spirit of the festival held in the outback under the stars. The ornate typography is perfect for the event as it conveys both classical cinema and outback Australia with flourishes lassoing the stars and moon. The various pieces of communication build excitement about the event and have a modern, yet warm country hospitality feel about them.
