23.01.2022 It was a packed house at the No Women Left Behind Conference here in Darwin celebrating women and the journeys taken. Hands up for the ladies! #nowomanleftbehind #IWD2020 #loveyoursister

23.01.2022 Starting the year slowly. Time off has been necessary and far too long overdue. The space has given me a chance to prioritise, feel and think. My goals are again in sight. Back in the office next week... and I am ready! Mood.

17.01.2022 This is what goes into an onstage #welovedata selfie. Thanks to @Karla_Canuto at the SAHMRI Wardliparinga Indigenous Research Network Showcase for the insightful pic of the pic. Now one of my favourites!

16.01.2022 Surveillance and health data are critical in the fight against COVID-19. It is important that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are seen. Adam Phelan interviewed me about the role of data in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander context during the COVID-19 pandemic.

16.01.2022 I am currently in Canberra to support the release of the Lowitja Institute’s new strategic plan at Parliament House. Tonight we will hear directives on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health research being led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at a parliamentary event. Exciting times.... 11.01.2022 A celebration of all things women! Please join me and the other keynote speakers for the 2020 No Woman Left Behind conference in Darwin on the 6th of March. https://bit.ly/2Nwbn2e Note: Tickets are almost sold out.

10.01.2022 I was super excited about the Nobel Prize for economics this year as it puts a spotlight on equity measurement. I was also thrilled that a woman was awarded. She was the only female Nobel Laureate in 2019. 1 in 14. 866 men and 53 women have been awarded a Nobel prize since 1901. Less than 6% of all prizes have been awarded to women. Recognition and power go hand in hand.... Researchers are grappling with the realization that academic environments aren’t always welcoming to women. - Esther Duflo, 2019 Nobel Laureate
