08.01.2022 Australian masked plover / lapwing, they return year after year, are very protective of their young... we always give them a wide berth, as do our customers. However, this year they have the whole venue to themselves but then again, there's the rabbits, and the fences ain't keeping them out The wildlife is just loving life at the moment

Mornington Peninsula Tourism have lodged an e-petition for the legislative council to consider their request that the Minister and Department reclassify the Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley LGA's to regional. This action has been taken due to the sheer frustration that the businesses and community on the Mornington Peninsula have with the inequity that exists with the current classification. This has been exasperated with the close down.... Over the past 8 years Mornington Peninsula Tourism have consistently raised the fact that we as a region receive less support than other regions, this includes no access to RDV, no regional concessions for payroll tax, no government support for regional training to name but a few examples. After hearing from many of people yesterday, they have decided that continuing to ask the machinery of government to address this issue was a waste of time. Therefore, have opted to try to get the elected officials to consider the request via the established petition system. The hope that the process will illustrate to our elected officials that as a community we are not treated equitably and that they will act to rectify this circumstance. We ask that you consider signing the petition and sharing it with your networks. This will not just help tourism businesses but EVERYONE on the Mornington Peninsula. 04.01.2022 Tonight 7th and tomorrow night, 8th July, will be the last nights we are open for 6 weeks The Victoria Government has reimposed stage three restrictions for six weeks in a bid to slow a rapid spread of COVID19 as of midnight tomorrow. However due to the huge success of our 'in-car delivery' service we will be continuing this, just without the movies! Please stay watching for more info.
