06.01.2022 Important community meeting regarding the Easter Festival - Tuesday Dec 1 at 5pm! There is a Zoom (online) meeting scheduled for 5pm-6pm on Tuesday December 1 ...specifically to discuss the Tilba Festival. It is really important that we make a decision about whether we proceed with a Festival on Easter weekend 2021; or whether we do it later in the year; or whether we pare it back, taking the opportunity of this crazy year to adapt it and if so, what does Festival 2.0 look like? There is a real chance that if we don’t get enough community support for this event that it will have to be postponed altogether to 2022. (Under the circumstances, this would not be unreasonable). At a time when other towns in the region are trying hard to get similar events off the ground, this would be a real shame for Tilba district. We also have guaranteed funding for the event this year. BUT let's put our heads together and see what we can come up with, and have a proper discussion about this, before a decision is made. This is an open invitation if you have friends or family who are not Chamber members but keen to get involved in helping organise the Festival please tag them in the comments on this post so they can see it. If they or you are unable to join but want to provide input and/or a commitment to support the organisation of a festival, PLEASE email us on [email protected] with your thoughts asap! The Festival meeting will be held via Zoom only (no physical mtg is planned) and you will need to register using the link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. DATE: Tuesday 1 December 2020 TIME: 5.00pm (AEDT) ZOOM REGISTRATION: https://us02web.zoom.us//tZMrd-urrTktG9WdnSRPG_PdVLzaiShSv
