13.01.2022 DJI, a Chinese company, have selected an interesting name for their range of 3 axis gimbals - Ronin. This is a Japanese word meaning " a samurai without a lord or master during the feudal period of Japan. A samurai became masterless upon the death of his master, or after the loss of his masters favour or privilege". A hidden meaning perhaps?

08.01.2022 DJI have done it again - Overnight DJI released the Mavic Mini. In summary, it is the first smart drone in the world that is below 250grams. The significant factor here, is that it falls outside CASAs current legislation with drones. This means no registration and/or licensing requirements.
