14.01.2022 UPDATE// With great sadness, @nudebeautybymatilda has decided to close our doors until advised otherwise. Although Ive increased hygiene practices and completed the @worldhealthorg covid-19 Infectious Control course, I believe it is in the best interest of myself and my family to close my doors for now. This is not an easy decision, and Ive contacted all of my clients regarding this. This is not how I planned on opening my store but it is out of my hands and I need to put... my family first. Many may not know, I have two sons, my youngest has had a pretty difficult time with life, thus leading to him being immunosuppressive, and at a higher risk of contracting illness. Im not closing because I dont trust my clients enough to respect me, and only come if feeling healthy, Im closing to keep my precious children healthy. 07.01.2022 Who doesn’t love a good rebrand?? There’s a bit of a story to it, but a small rebrand means I get to do all that I love in one place. At the end of last year I chose to take control of my health, thus leading to many changes and decisions that lead me ultimately to assistive weight-loss surgery. I decided I couldn’t preach self love and natural beauty if I didn’t feel it myself. I’m not saying that I was not beautiful in the inside when I was overweight, but I wasn’t my best... self- not on the outside or the inside. My mental health took a hit and this was the best decision for me; one that I’m proud I made! Long story short, I took control and I’m thankful for it, my family is thankful for it. Throughout this experience I felt amazing highs and terrible lows. I felt as though I was healthy but I wasn’t beautiful. I invested some time into myself and with some encouragement I decided to model a promotion for a friends business, and now I’ve done a few and I’m feeling bold and beautiful and ME again! After being approached by a few other smaller businesses, I decided it was not only heaps of fun, I was supporting small businesses, but also a HUGE confidence boost!! For someone who saw herself as a girl who wasn’t beautiful, seeing myself in these photos instantly made me feel amazing. I don’t model or post pictures of myself to get attention or likes- I do it because it makes me feel good- and if I’m feeling beautiful on the inside and outside I’m upholding and leading by example the very qualities my business stands for! Rebranding Nude Beauty By Matilda has been really fun, it’s a choice that will lead me to venture into new areas while still upholding my beauty services. @thevintagecowgirlcollective is a business that holds different strands of my life, from my beauty salon, to my modelling and self-growth + self-love projects, and even some new things that are coming very soon. I’m taking some time to learn new skills and in time I’ll offer these things- the things that make me happy.
