25.01.2022 DCC is pleased to welcome back to the club returning junior Ben Giles. Ben has played the last couple of years at Jindivick, He was a part of our Under 16 premiership team a couple of years ago and has represented the WDCA recently in the Under 18s at GCL level. Ben returns to the club to form part of young core really going places and setting great standards at training. Great to have you back Ben and looking forward to seeing you back in the Maroon & Gold this season!

The Community Cricket Program was established in 2014 to support the development of cricket across the state, and the program has a great track record of funding the development of facilities that help bring more people into the game of cricket. 23.01.2022 **RECRUIT ALERT** The Drouin Cricket Club is thrilled to announce that Cam McPhan will be wearing Maroon & Gold for season 2020/21!!! Cam comes to Drouin having moved to the area from WyYung Cricket Club where he has previously Captained/Coached. At 24, he fits perfectly into our age bracket for!!... Along with experience at GCL and Country Week level, Cam has recently played with Prahan CC in Premier 2/3s. Recruited as a top order bat for the club, with back to back seasons scoring over 500 runs a couple years back (one season 582 @ 64!). Cam comes to the club with clear leadership skills, great work ethic and drive to push our club forward!! 30 wickets one season at WyYung with his left arm mediums should also be a huge asset to the Club!! Add to that his Grandfather was a Premiership player at Drouin also, he's already got the maroon and gold blood in his genes. Welcome aboard Cam!! GOHAWKS

22.01.2022 **COACHING APPOINTMENT** The Drouin Cricket Club are thrilled to announce the Senior Coach for season 2020/21 will be Troy Lehman !!! Troy comes to Drouin with the upmost respect from his peers and competitors across the WDCA, having spent the majority of his years with Longwarry and in previous seasons with Leadership roles at both Western Park and Tooradin (in the West Gippy comp). ... Troy comes to Drouin eager to work with our current playing group AND great young talent, already has plenty of ideas to follow on from a successful past couple of seasons for our club. He is an elite pace bowler and has taken plenty of Drouin scalps in his time and also been very successful at Representative level! Please join us in welcoming Troy, along with Kiara and Bentley to Drouin CC. We are really excited to have Troy on board! We would also like to thank Sammy van der Zalm for his massive contribution over the past 2 seasons as Senior Coach!! He took us to somewhere Drouin hadn't been for in 50 years and that's a flag in both the top 2 divisions in 208/19!! A massive achievement, and then backed it up in Div 2 this year! This doesn't happen by fluke!!! His commitment and especially the way he pulled our group together is massively appreciated. 20.01.2022 Just wanting to get this out... There is an error in the GCL handbook that has been sent out. In the Under 15 JCW rules it still says squads are limited to 14... players. This is incorrect and only applies to a carnival situation - which we don't have this year. This season there is no limit on the number of players that you use in the preliminary rounds - 1 to 4. To play in the grand final a player must have competed in at least one preliminary round match. See more

20.01.2022 Well what an action packed and successful day for the club yesterday! Div 1: what a crazy day this was! Sent in on a very juicy and unpredictable wicket in a must win game to make finals Drouin were reeling at 7-37!!! A 9th wicket partnership betweek Mitch Smith and Brad Glover saw us get to a very defendable 134! It was then Neerim's turn to have their fun on the wicket and it proved all fun for Drouin!! Neerim rolled for 30!!! Simon Gardiner taling incredible figures of ...7-14!!!! Goody took the other 3. Sent back in, Neerim are not 5-43 with 2 more wickets to Simon to take his daily total of an astonishing 9-24 for the day!! Weel done Pong!!! Div 2: a big day with the bat for the boys after being sent in. Drouin posted 6-278 with Pauly (76), Joxy (50) and Matty Kouris (45*) the key scorers! Div 3: playing Neerim. We restricted them to 144 with the bat with Charlie Wans and Rhys Fairlie each taling 3 fa. Div 5: playing 2nd place Bunyip and needing a win to keep finals alive. Drouin had a field day. Rolling Bunyip for 136 Drouin were never troubled chasing the score down losing only 3 wickets. The clear highlight being Sam Barwick with 51 retired, his first game back after a terrible accident 6 months ago!! U14s: the boys are chasing 145 for victory against Warragul. The highlights being 3 run outs, great team effort there!! And Harrison Radcliffe taking 2-13. A victory here will ensure our boys finish on top of the ladder! One more week to go til the main stuff starts!! Let's get up and see all 5 teams in the finals!!! Dont forget Keg Sunday next week also....will be the best $50 spent no doubt!!! GO HAWKS

15.01.2022 Huge effort tonight by one of our under 14s Musa Wahid who tonight had incredible figures of 3 overs 2 maidens..... 6-1!!!!!! Including a hat trick!!! What a night for Musa!! Congratulations on this amazing feat! Hopefully plenty more of this in years to come in the maroon and gold!

Aaron comes to Drouin with great experience, being a former Captain at his original club Long Island CC in the Mornington League. He is a top order bat with an appetite for runs (coming off a ton last year). He had a brief stint with Pakenham CC after recently moving to the area but the attraction of playing on turf was a great reason he chose to play with Drouin. ... Please join us all in welcoming Aaron and fiance Chelsea to Drouin!

08.01.2022 Congratulations to our under 14s who last Sunday defeated Western Park in the T20 final. Chasing 75 for the victory Drouin passed the required total 1 down in a great win. Awesome stuff guys, backing up their GF win last year...we have some very talented kids on our hands to look forward to. Good luck today and to all out teams leading into Christmas. GOHAWKS!!!

06.01.2022 Retro Cocktail Night was Thank u everyone for coming and supporting the club, last night was quite memorable. Thank u to those who helped and everyone throughout the night who kept checking in to see if more could be done. Mostly, it was a blast and I hope y'all aint hurting too bad today!!!

06.01.2022 4 from 4!!! What a great day yesterday to get a win in all 4 grades!! Especially in some huge games to help our finals chances!! Don't forget our under 14s are playing in the 20/20 GF at Bellbird 2 from 9am today, word is some ripper bacon and egg rolls will be there to get your day going the right way. Div 2 then play at Bellbird against Warragul in the 1 day final and Div 3 against Catani at Catani. ... Get down in maroon and gold to cheer the boys home.
