For those who LOVE a bit of #pimplepopping #drpimplepopper #drpimplepopperdownunder (Hey @roxyjacenko can you please make sure @jackieo_official gets to see this???) #health #medicine #hotdoc #hashtag

23.01.2022 Saturday is for dates with @majella_w. #ClancyGeorge crashed it of course...

22.01.2022 Bitterly bitterly cold for recruits in the mountains for tonight’s #SASAustralia episode. Wind chill pushed conditions well below zero. Plus they were wet! That made the biggest challenge of the day the cold, and for one recruit, #HYPOTHERMIA became a reality. Low BMI increases the risk of hypothermia: body fat acts like a layer of insulation. so all the skinny lean recruits REALLY struggled. ... There are 3 stages of #HYPOTHERMIA: Mild: basic shivering & feel cold. Moderate: Body temp 33-35, violent shivers, uncoordinated, slurred speech, & drowsiness. Severe: temp <30/33. Waves of shivers, unconsciousness, pale skin > death... Recruit @shannanponton was developing worsening moderate hypothermia until he changed clothes and warmed up. The medics watched him closely on the trip back to base. I kept a close eye on recruit @shannanponton all night. He warmed up completely in a couple of hours after a hot meal, feeling considerably better. #nobrandy

21.01.2022 Tomorrow night was supposed to be my daughter’s Year 6 Father Daughter Dance, but unfortunately it was cancelled. But there was no way I was going to miss a special night out with my favourite daughter. (Clearly moved to tonight...) #prouddad #loveyou

19.01.2022 How bloody tough was nurse Badger! Thanks for the help mate to patch you up. @nickbadger sustained a cracker of a traumatic laceration down to bone. I cleaned it out and threw a dozen stitches in. A quick dose of cement spray and he cracked on without an issue. Well, a bit of a lame peg... #itsonlypain #SASAustralia

18.01.2022 Little willys tend to freak parents out. Do they worry you? I’d love to hear from you all: what does your family call the little fella’s old fella? Have a good weekend! Dr Sam.

17.01.2022 My office for the day. #podcasting

17.01.2022 Holidays. Catch’n waves with the winkles. #surf #clancygeorge

16.01.2022 If I was allowed a favourite, this one would be my favourite daughter. Such a privilege to be her ‘date’ at the @wenonaschool Father Daughter Dance. Such an awesome was to end Junior School.

15.01.2022 Are you a struggling veteran? Please reach out. A doctor, your mate, your family, a psychologist, Open Arms. @openarmspeers @newscomauhq

14.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day mum, from your favourite son . #mothersday

13.01.2022 Bit clogged up in iso? Then this is a MUST read.

12.01.2022 A PLEA. Today is likely to be a big day with the release of the Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force #IGADF inquiry into Special Forces and allegations of war crimes. There may be some very distressing revelations. BUT... please don’t lose hope and trust for the wider Aussie Special Forces, the Army, and the ADF. Any wrong doing is by an infinite minority. Please, PLEASE don’t tarnish the good work of many. Many operators are being sucked into the turmoil, they’...re doing it tough - I know they are because they come in to see me for help. Are you struggling? Then reach out. Know an operator who is? Then encourage them to seek help. I’m not defending anyone who has stepped over a line, but urging all to respect those that have done bloody good work for our country tour after tour after tour. Be proud of them, and let them be proud of themselves. Understand that many soldiers carry heavy burdens with them for life. @australianarmy #army #specialforces #military #SF #operator #moralinjury #sas #sasaustralia

12.01.2022 In 2020 there’s a lot to be grateful for, and a lot to remember. But today I remember those I served, those I served with, and those who are no longer with us. My kids now appreciate the sacrifices of the fallen - please make sure your kids do too. Lest we forget. #LestWeForget #RemembranceDay #OldFaithful @commando_welfare_trust

11.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to this firecracker of a mum. She chose the outdoor sunny table for lunch. All glammed up too! My goodness she scrubs up well - party on top, practical ‘iso-wear’ on the bottom . Love you sweet heart - an amazing mum to our #ClancyGeorge. #mothersday @ Artarmon, New South Wales, Australia

09.01.2022 We all have an obligation to make sure we keep others safe: from the common cold and from #Covid. But parents it’s tough isn’t it? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
