15.01.2022 This is so important We are all connected It is moment in time.. now This was great programme. Clear and educative.... It showed just how the disruption of ecosystems is impacting our own existence as part of the web of life on the planet including increased pandemics of disease. The programme identified barriers to protecting diversity and offered hope and pathways for future. For me, we have lost so much time. I was18 (that's a while ago!). I am sad that it has taken so long and now we have a crisis. We need joined up global action. 09.01.2022 I am very pleased today to have completed a contract for a 'not for profit' community organisation here in Victoria which provides a great service to those dealing with mental health issues from, anxiety to PTSD. For me, it was doing something I have done since my early career days... planning the design of a project to meet a community need. It is also something I have taught many university students over the years in health planning. I love the creative process of looking ...at the bigger government program picture and planning a project, ready for delivery including its budget, its outcomes and how it can be sustained long term. I then, prepared each of these 3 projects for government grant funding applications and the myriad of hurdles and the 'thinking through' these entail. I am lucky to have the experience of being of both sides of the process the community organisation (client side) and the government assessment and investment side (government side). It helps to be politically savvy innovative and creative and base the design on strong rationale and evidence. Not to mention getting it all said in 300 words or less.. I wish this wonderful group of people much luck in their bids because if they are successful it will be their first real government funding and the almost $100k will take their work to the next level. I have also been doing work with Master and PhD students locally and internationally preparing their research project designs for entry application .
