23.01.2022 Congratulations to our division 5 white team, who won by one game yesterday to make it through to next weeks grand final! So far we know that our seniors will play their grand final at home at 1pm on Saturday 21/3, but stay tuned for information on the venues of the two junior teams that have made it through!

21.01.2022 Sorry for the late notice, we can now confirm that the junior grand finals will go ahead (unless any last minute changes are brought in), but the senior grand final has been cancelled. Unfortunately no spectators will be allowed, with only one adult permitted to attend with each junior player. If your child is playing tomorrow, and you havent yet heard from your team manager, please get in touch so that we can provide you with the necessary information.... We wish both of our teams the best of luck, we wish we could be there to cheer them on!

21.01.2022 Congratulations Mackenzie, James, Luke, Isaac and Henry from our junior div 2 team, on winning 4(34)-2(24) against McLaren Flat this morning to become the 2019/20 season premiers. Well done also to our div 5 team for reaching the grand final. Unfortunately they were beaten 2-4 by Langhorne Creek this morning.

15.01.2022 While tennis Hotshots, coaching and matches are cancelled until at least early next week, this who have keys to access the courts are still allowed to go for a casual hit of tennis. If you are a member of our club and don’t have a key but would like one, please get in touch to arrange one!

13.01.2022 This weekend we were honoured to have a visit to the club from the Minister of Sport and Recreation, Hon Corey Wingard MP and Member for Heysen, Josh Teague MP. We were able to show them our new solar panels, which we were fortunate enough to have supplied through a recent grant.

13.01.2022 Our junior coaching and Hot Shots program began yesterday afternoon. Welcome to our new coach Declan Laginestra, and good kick to all of our junior teams for their first matches tomorrow!

13.01.2022 Onkaparinga Tennis Association Semi Finals were played yesterday. Scores are as follows: Div 5 - McLaren Flat def Strathalbyn Red 6-0 Div 5 - Langhorne Creek def Strathalbyn White 3(27)-3(25)... Div 4 - John Wesley def Strathalbyn Red 4-2 Div 2 - Strathalbyn def McLaren Flat Gold 6-0 Seniors - Strathalbyn def Macclesfield 8(75)-8(73) Seniors and div 2 will go straight through to the Grand Final on March 21st, div 5 white will play a Preliminary Final next week at home against McLaren Flat, and unfortunately the season is over for our div 4 and div 5 red teams. We are very proud of all of our teams, and wish the best of luck to those who are continuing through the finals over the next two weeks.

12.01.2022 We are proud to be attending Eastern Fleurieu School today, in support of their Wellbeing Festival to recognise the importance of mental health and wellbeing on R U OK? Day.

12.01.2022 This years AGM will be held on Monday August 3rd at 7:30pm, in the club rooms. While all of our office bearers will be stood down, and nominations will be open, we will particularly be looking for a new Junior Coordinator this year. If you are interested in taking on this position or any other, please come along to the AGM. Even if you are unable to commit to a position within the committee, please come along anyway, we would love to hear hear ideas to improve our club and are always looking for more volunteers to help throughout the tennis season.

12.01.2022 Social tennis update: Social tennis is now running on Monday mornings and Thursday mornings, during winter. Thursday nights will be reinstated for the warmer weather, with a date to be advised. If you would like to join in, please get in touch, or come along to one of our sessions and say hi!

Special thanks to our coach, Declan Laginestra, and to Clive Rafferty for his commitment to our club over many years. 08.01.2022 Three of our juniors, James, McKenzie and Luke, were selected by the OTA to play in an inter-association match against Great Southern Tennis Association today. GSTA took the win, but everyone played very well considering the terrible weather.

04.01.2022 This year's AGM is done and dusted, so to start this post we welcome our office bearers for the 2020/2021 season: President - Martin Stone Vice President - Andrew Ness Secretary - Jarryd Pfeiffer Treasurer - Cecilia Fischer... Patrons - Peter and Shirley Logan Our officers will be supported by our general committee. We are still looking for someone to take on the role of Junior Delegate, so please get in touch if you can help. In other news from the AGM, social tennis will continue to be held on Monday and Thursday mornings, from 8:30 to 10:30. Night tennis will resume in line with daylight savings. We will hold our annual Open/Come & Try Day on Sunday September 13th. Please keep an eye out for further information in the coming days. Our COVID-Safe Plan is in action, and so far we have one accredited COVID Marshal. If you would like to assist our club by volunteering as a COVID Marshal, please let us know and we will point you in the right direction. Some volunteers would be greatly appreciated for our Open Day, and may become even more of a necessity as we return to coaching and matches. It has been decided that unfortunately we will not be opening the canteen for food on Saturday mornings this season, in line with helping to stop the spread. Also, whilst our club hats are still available for purchase from the club rooms, we will go back to shirts being ordered directly through our supplier. Her information will be available at the Open Day for anyone wishing to place an order. We look forward to seeing both our new and returning members at the Open Day, to start preparing for the season ahead!
