13.01.2022 Between 18 and 33 per cent of older adults who suffer a hip fracture die within a year. The toll that hip fractures take on health, quality of life, independenc...e and mental health is staggering. Your physio can not only set up a strengthening program that will reduce the risk of falls, they can also provide multi-layered care after an accident that focuses not only on the injury itself, but also on your overall well being. #ChoosePhysio

12.01.2022 Every day in Australia 3 people die and 150 people are hospitalised because of harm from opioid use. While they can be an effective part of managing acute and c...ancer-related pain, evidence shows that for most patients with chronic non-cancer pain, opioids do not provide significant improvement. The risks of use often outweigh the benefits. Physiotherapists are well qualified and experienced to treat chronic and acute pain via a prescribed exercise plan, often working in conjunction with other health professionals. The new opioid education program from Choosing Wisely Australia equips consumers with resources to reduce the harm of opioid misuse, support recovery and ensure adequate pain management and quality of life for people with chronic non-cancer pain: ow.ly/ldHH50xlI3z
