09.01.2022 The Government has finally released some more details about their first home buyers scheme. The property will be limited to a value of $450,000 in regional NSW, $700,000 for Sydney. Its open to singles with a taxable income up to $125,000 per year and couples earning less than $200,000 per year The scheme wont actually reduce the amount required- with a few lenders already allowing first home buyers to borrow with just a 5 % deposit. There are still no details on how the sc...heme will actually work and which lenders will be involved. We suspect that it will allow eligible purchasers to avoid Lenders Mortgage Insurance, a handy saving of up to $13,000.
