23.01.2022 Whether you’re a cat or a dog person, it’s no secret that across the Dubbo region, we love our pets! This Spring, Council is encouraging residents to get their ...four-legged friends desexed. Meet Ethan and Brad at the Dubbo City Animal Shelter, who share with us how the procedure can benefit your pet, and help manage unplanned litters.

18.01.2022 SHELTER CLOSURE: The Dubbo City Animal Shelter will be closed this Tuesday 17 November, for staff training. The public is advised that bookings will not be avai...lable during the closure; however, if you need to visit the shelter, you can book in for Wednesday instead. Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause for residents.

13.01.2022 Some tips to help your pets tonight: Ensure all gates are secure or consider leaving them inside. Consider staying home to keep your pet company or have someone stay with your pet. Ensure your pet is microchipped and the details are up to date just in case.... We are not open to the public tomorrow. We reopen on Thursday the 2nd of January 2020 at 11:30am. Happy New Year

Patty gets along very well with other dogs, including smaller breeds, she has made many friends here at the Shelter with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She is a very playful girl who loves going for walks and runs, and she was born for snuggles and belly rubs!... Please help us get the word out about Patty and give her a share :)

07.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE: we are NOT the RSPCA. This is a wonderful chance for you to adopt your furever friend through Petbarn, not the Dubbo Animal Shelter. Our animals are as listed in our adoptions folder. We would love to see you this weekend as we have some wonderful animals needing a furever home but we are not part of this sale.
