25.01.2022 Who can guess this location?

24.01.2022 We apologise for the radio silence...the safari world is struggling to keep its head above water right now during this time of uncertainty.... We promise to get back on track with sharing images and updates from our safari destinations. We will start with this ridiculously cute photo of a baby warthog. What do you call a baby warthog? Technically they are called a piglet but our wonderful Tanzania guide @firozdin1847 calls them wartlets..... now that is a sweet name! #warthog #maramboi #lakemanyara #photosafari #wildlifephotography #tanzania #piglet #wartlet #africansafari #covid19

22.01.2022 The destination of our last post was Arusha National Park, Tanzania. This is a fantastic destination for photographing giraffe. If you are lucky you might even get a glimpse of Kilimanjaro and of course Mt Meru. It is a perfect park to practise photography before heading into the Serengeti and we highly recommend adding it to the start of our tours. Photos by: Bobby-Jo Photography

22.01.2022 The Gaur is the world's largest wild cow! We recently spent time photographing these magnificent beasts on our Indian Photo Safari.

21.01.2022 Happy Mother's Day!

20.01.2022 Hidden Valley lies on the border of the Serengeti National Park & Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is a fantastic place to photograph Zebra. On this particular we encountered thousands of zebra in a very dusty Hidden Valley. There was so much action, especially with the stallions. Check out this maneless guy. 16.01.2022 An amazing Lammergeier which is an old world vulture that lives at high altitudes. They are known for their habit of dropping bones from a great height to break them. This big guy was flying over us whilst we photographing a snow leopard!

16.01.2022 Can’t wait to go back to capturing our guests in wonderful candid moments like this... meeting people from all over the world and exchanging greetings and laughter. 16.01.2022 Here is a leaping leopard for your #caturday It is an amazing sight to see this beautiful cat scale a large tree in just a few short bounds. This female is a local resident of Seronera in the Serengeti. We have been photographing her for a few years now. The guides refer to her as the Thatched Kopjes Chui. Chui is the Swahili word for leopard and its pronounced chewy #leopardess #serengeti #seronera #tanzania #bobbyjophotography #africansafari #photosafari #gamedrive #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #bigcat @ Serengeti National Park Tanzania

15.01.2022 The famous Dead Vlei is a photographers dream. So many compositional elements such as lines, layers, contrast, balance and scale. The Dead Vlei looks different with every visit. This an image taken in the afternoon. Looking forward to hosting guests in Namibia in the future. It is a wonderful place, one of our favourite safari destinations.

14.01.2022 Two families at the waterhole. Elephants and Egyptian geese.

14.01.2022 Check out these big tiger scratch marks we found in Kanha National Park! Did you know that a tiger not only scratches trees to keep their claws sharp but it’s also a way of marking their territory. Once a tree is chosen it is used repeatedly leaving deep long marks on the trunk. Secretions from glands in the feet leave a scent layer which are easily detected by other tigers. 12.01.2022 Check out July’s National Geographic which features a wonderful article on Snow Leopards. We were thrilled to meet the Author and photographer of this story whilst we undertook our maiden snow leopard adventure. We will never forget the old boy of Kibber.

10.01.2022 Did you know that giraffe horns are not horns but are called ossicones? These ossicones lie flat on their head when they are first born and are not attached to the skull. This helps with avoiding injury at birth. The cones will fuse to the head as they grow. This is a male Southern giraffe and one way you can determine his sex is by looking at how thick his ossicones are, especially the median or middle ossicone. The male giraffe also tends to have no hair on the cones due to necking (fighting). Do you love giraffe? Then you should follow the incredible work of Giraffe Conservation Foundation.

08.01.2022 Girl power in Nairobi National Park A great little video demonstrating why lions are social. Territorial defence.

05.01.2022 Happy #Caturday everyone! Here is a mating pair of lions in the Moru Kopjes, Serengeti. The pair will separate from the pride for several days to mate. This starts with a "consorting" period where the male will mate guard the female until she is receptive. ... These two were having a break..... :)

01.01.2022 We are even missing the African mud. Here is a throwback to earlier this year in a very wet Ngorongoro Crater. For the record..... we did get stuck ten minutes after taking this video.
