25.01.2022 Friday night! We participated in TCC Townsville Eats; the inaugural event after the original was postponed for heavy rain. Big event, lots of people! Wow. You all make sure you come to the next one in a months time if you missed it. We sure got busy! A bit disorganised, but it was the first time and we will improve. Our gazebo on the street was overflowing, and they started to line up at the shop - which was technically closed and in use only for frying the spring rolls. Both outlets were rocking. We did not get the photos we would like - just too busy. But we were lent this one. Thanks.

23.01.2022 Thanks everyone who came out on Friday night to enjoy our food, and all the other offerings on the street that evening. Also a special thank-you to our lovely staff for their hard work so cheerfully given!

21.01.2022 Christmas in the City, Saturday 1 December. We opened to join in this community event. We hope everyone had a great time. Those who had gyoza had a great snack. No complaints from our customers. Thanks all, have a great festive season!

20.01.2022 Townsville Eats - this Friday 25th. Big night: join the fun. And get some AWESOME food! See ya.

18.01.2022 Spread the word. Some customers have said they looked for our page but could not find it. Some were looking up "Dump Truck" and finding unrelated materials, including a dumpling shop in USA. Our name is DUMP TRUK. Please grab a business card next visit, and also try to like us. If more people look up Dump Truk, Google and Facebook will move us up the priority list making us easier to find. Thanks

15.01.2022 Chinese New Year is coming. 5 February 2019, first day of the Year of the Pig. To celebrate Dump Truk will have steam buns on the menu. Special, and for a short time only! In Chinese these delectable morsels are called Shui Jian Bao. Like all our menu items, these are home-made right here in our shop. Be sure to get yours!

14.01.2022 Respectful greetings to Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill who came in and kindly posed for this selfie.

13.01.2022 6,000 dumplings and counting...

13.01.2022 Come down this Friday night. Townsville Eats inaugural event. We will be there with dumplings and Miss Sushi Spring Rolls. Bring the family! Tell your friends! See What's On in Townsville for more details.

13.01.2022 The Townsville Eats event was cancelled. At midday, when a decision was needed, it was pouring rain, with no sign of a let up. The organisers made the right choice. Then by 5 p.m. it was fine. Such is life! We decided to keep the shop open tonight. If you were planning to get a gyoza feast with family and friends tonight, you still can; only at the shop not in a marquee. ... Perhaps some people have not heard it was cancelled. At least they will not miss out altogether. Ou contraire: the best food is still there! See more

13.01.2022 Townsville Eats. Second event. This time we were well prepared, but not for the rain! Townsville Council ought to run a drought busters service. They have a great record of having it rain on their events. So here is how we looked at 7:30 Friday night.

12.01.2022 Just got our Trip Advisor monthly report. Our reviews are 100% positive! Fantastic! Of course they were: but reason to celebrate all the same! By the way, did YOU post your positive review yet?

10.01.2022 We are still open. Will stay as long as we can - until closures are made compulsory. Trust us that we have ever been careful with cleanliness, but are ramping it up now for your protection. Do not stop coming - that is not necessary. Social distancing can be complied with at the tables inside.

09.01.2022 Our customers say, "Amazing dumplings... the staff put so much work into making them taste delicious!" So, what would it take to see you more often? To have you meet friends here over lunch? Tell us.

09.01.2022 After some experimentation, we think we have our Mango Sticky Rice desert ready to go. This is a sweet and gelatinous rice pudding rolled, sushi-style, around slices of crisp and tangy fresh mango and dressed with a swirl of coconut cream. This is served cooled from the fridge and is a refreshing conclusion to a spicy dumpling lunch. Or just as an indulgent snack.

08.01.2022 We are teaming up with Miss Sushi in Mooloolaba. We think Miss Sushi Mooloolaba is more better sounding than Miss Sushi Dump Truk. But we will be there. Sushi, Gyoza, Spring Rolls, Katsu, Karaage, Rendang, Salads; garden, seaweed, roast veggies or fruit. All good. Opening soon.

06.01.2022 This is probably a long shot, but in case you recognise this lost item, you can collect it at Dump Truk in the City.

02.01.2022 Like everyone else, we were impacted by recent flooding. Nothing serious for us, personally. The building was closed for a few days, and we missed our Chinese New Year event is all. How about you? Our heartfelt wishes to everyone who suffered loss of any sort. Some lost house, car and everything. Some of our customers are camping in various digs waiting for repairs that may take months. Most of these are amazingly positive and resilient. Fantastic. We so admire your spirit!

01.01.2022 Hi, Joe and Maz from Melbourne. They look like they appreciated their dumplings: they came back again more than once. Have a safe trip home!
