25.01.2022 Why should I join Business West Wyalong? What are the benefits to me? Good questions! I personally joined Business West Wyalong 3 years ago when I purchased my... cafe. It was part of my business plan to help me meet other like minded business owners in our community. Apart from meeting new people, my time with BWW has allowed me to keep up to date with local events in our shire, participate in members promotions, and give my opinion on a range of issues that potentially effect the way my business operates. Now, 3 years later, I have just been elected the President of Business West Wyalong. I am hoping that I, with the help of the BWW committee, can lead Business West Wyalong to even greater things! With the challenges that 2020 has presented to all businesses, I think now is a perfect time for all local businesses to band together. Our business community has so much to offer and we want to make sure that everyone knows exactly what can be found right here in the Bland Shire. Business West Wyalong is not just for street front retail stores! We want all forms of business to join us, big & small! Whether you are a tiny home-based party plan style business, an online business or a Multinational Corporation, as long as you are doing business in West Wyalong, we want to hear from you! The networking, potential business to business sales, participation in combined marketing campaigns, member exclusive promotions and staying updated on local issues, is invaluable to any business! This year has definitely changed the way we all operate but I think Business West Wyalong will do some great things in the next twelve months! Although we encourage as many members as possible to attend our bi-monthly meetings, please dont feel that attendance is a compulsory requisite of membership! Meeting times dont suit everyone and we understand that! Time is very precious for all business owners. Even without physically attending meetings, I believe you will definitely get value out of your Business West Wyalong membership. 21.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that attended this months meeting! If you missed out, here are some of the key notes! Is your Street number visable? To enable visitors ...to our town (and emergency services) to located businesses more easily, we are just reminding everyone to pop your street number somewhere on your door or window! Shop Local Cards - Bland Shire Council is encouraging ALL Businesses in the shire to register and participate in this program. Bland Shire Council is covering all costs of this program. It will not cost your business anything to participate! If you accept payments by eftpos in your business, we highly recommend you sign up to be a participant. You do not need to be a member of Business West Wyalong, your business just needs to be in the Bland Shire. Essentially the cards are similar to a pre-paid Visa giftcard, that can only be redeemed at local businesses. Anything that keeps $$$ in our town is a good thing! Business West Wyalong Awards Dinner - will be held at the S&C Club on Sat October 12th. Tickets are now available from Jill at House of Fashion. $40 for BWW members, $45 for non-members. Includes meal, awards presentation and guest speaker. Nominations for the Business West Wyalong Awards are now open. The link to the nomination form is pinned to the top of our Facebook page.
