19.01.2022 FUN FACT THURSDAY Because we just cant wait until Friday - Duncan Coral - ... Also known as Duncanopsammia Axifuga Much like our tradesman, these little guys love the rocky, Sandy beaches found in Australia and Southern China. They grow very fast and have minimal requirements. Theyve got large fleshy Polyps and belong to the stony polyp Coral family. These coral thrive in waters of high amounts of calcium and magnesium. They are usually found settled at the bottom of low current sea or reef, in colonies of individuals or branching groups. Duncan coral love basic pH levels, particularly the pH of 8.2-8.4 and their preferred water temperature is between 20-26 degrees Celsius. Favourite foods include: Shrimp Larvae Meaty bits Cyclops And chopped shellfish Take a look at Canberra Aquarium Maintenance! 18.01.2022 Have you ever wondered what condition your evaporative cooler is in? The cooling pads on the left are from a system that is 6 years old and used quite often. As you can see the pads have began to deteriorate and bow out of position. They are also full of calcium, dust, smoke and other airborne debris. This results in an ineffective evaporative cooler, as the water has trouble travelling through the cooling pads! If you would like your cooling pads and system checked dont hesitate to book in a service and have our tradesman check over the whole system!
