18.01.2022 Are you an Australian resident living with disability or chronic health conditions, or care for someone who is? The NSW Rural Fire Service is working with the University of Sydney who are carrying out a project supporting people with disability to prepare for, respond to and recover from an emergency event such as bush fires, pandemics and floods. The researchers are keen to know how prepared you are for an emergency, what you can do for yourself and what supports you need in... an emergency. You can take part by completing an online survey: People with disability: https://redcap.sydney.edu.au/surveys/?s=ML4LC3KMEF For carers: https://redcap.sydney.edu.au/surveys/?s=N9MCMYJDCX If you prefer to speak to someone, please email your name and contact number to [email protected] This research will support NSW RFS and other emergency agencies to better educate and support communities on how to plan and prepare for, and respond to, emergencies and natural disasters. Please share with anyone you know who might be interested in supporting the research. The survey closes on 31 March 2021.

16.01.2022 We are pleased to announce the signing of a Merger Implementation Deed with another NFP home and community care provider, ADSSI Limited, who trade as Adssi In-home Support, Maitland Community Care and Beresefield Community Care . We are working through the steps to allow the merger to proceed on 01 January 2021. This merger brings to four the number of organisations who have been welcomed into the ADSSI Limited group. Like us, the three organisations have supported their loc...al communities for several decades, and this merge ensures we continue to flourish as part of a larger organisation. For D&DNC Inc. clients, it will be business as usual as the same local staff and volunteers continue to support their local communities to remain living independently. They will retain their name and brand identity, further ensuring continuity all for stakeholders. Adssi In-Home Support, Maitland Community Care Services and Beresfield Community Care. See more
