24.01.2022 Where else would you want to kick start the 2020/21cricket season off at. No need for the MCG turf to be planted here when it looks this good.

24.01.2022 2 big games tomorrow for our cricketers as both teams take on potential finals contenders. The 2nds who dropped to 4th on the ladder following last weeks loss will take on east (5th) at home in a 1 day clash. A win will keep them in contention of a top 4 position however a loss could see them drop to 10th on the ladder. The 5ths (3rd on ladder ) return from an extended Christmas break to take on BFB red (5th ) at vic park 2. Player numbers at training have been great which ...is why both teams are where they are on the ladder. Each week we have players missing out on a game so to ensure that you are not one of them your attendance at training will certainly help. Australia Day count down party is back next week. If The past couple of Australia Day events are anything to go by this one will be a beauty. iPod shuffle night 22nd feb. nominate your song to Aidan or Ben ASAP See more

17.01.2022 It’s a Beautiful night to head to the eastern oval to support the club in the 20/20 grand final against Ballarat redan. Action kicks off at 7pm. Teams for tomorrow are on the MyCricket web page for all concerned. If you haven’t been selected it’s because 17 doesn’t fit into 12. You are encouraged to attend the match to help out with game day duties, and can still take to the field throughout the day. We will be rotating players from week to week to ensure everyone gets a fair run. And to make sure that everyone gets qualified for the finals. If you know that you will be unavailable for any of the remaining games you’ll need to let us know sooner than later to ensure that you’re not missing out on a game 2 weeks in a row.

11.01.2022 It's official - Senior cricket to kick off on October 17! Based on feedback from our clubs the preferred option by a large majority was to start all senior cric...ket on October 17. The following weekend (long weekend) will see NO SENIOR CRICKET with a decision on Junior cricket to be afforded to all clubs involved shortly. October 31 will see everyone back into it and hitting the park for the remainder of a Rona-free cricket season! Although looking out the window right now doesn't really get you pumped up for outside play, it's still exciting to be this close to having some fun!

04.01.2022 Dear BCA members and supporters With the ‘Roadmap to recovery’ presentation distributed yesterday from the Victorian Government we understand that you will all ...want to know what it means for cricket in the BCA moving forward. The BCA Board are scheduled to meet next Monday and despite a willingness to provide an update as soon as possible, they will not meet earlier to enable this week for information collection to make any relevant decisions fully informed. As you would all appreciate, the information available is not 100% clear on community sport just yet. If possible, an announcement on BCA competitions will come on Tuesday, September 15. We appreciate that many out there want to know now to allow further planning, however, the BCA are not able to provide anything right now. It’s a difficult time, we can only do what we can do, and we’ll do the best we can with what we have. We appreciate everyone’s support in these challenging times.

04.01.2022 Check your diaries ladies and gents. Cricket season is fast approaching. Covid permitting.

02.01.2022 A little update moving forward. Will provide further updates after Thursday’s meeting.

01.01.2022 A massive couple of weeks of cricket to come for the boys. The 2nds currently 3rd take on Ballan 4thin what is effectively an elimination final for both teams. A win will guarantee either team finals action, however a lose could see them slip out of the final 6 and as low as 9th on the ladder, should other results fall against them also. The 5ths (2nd on ladder) who are going very well at the moment take on a lower ranked BFB white at park 8. A win for these guys will sow u...p 2nd position on the ladder with 1 more match to go. Last man standing tickets are out and about for next weekend. See one of the players for yours. Otherwise they will be available until 7pm next Saturday night when it will be drawn. Please return all tickets sold or unsold ASAP Good luck to both sides

01.01.2022 A huge weekend of cricket this weekend. Starting tonight with training. Hope to see good numbers once again. Not my fault if you don’t get picked cos you didn’t train. Both teams returned to the winners list in fine fashion, but can’t be satisfied with that. Both teams also in a good position to play a major finals part. Friday night sees us take on Coronet in the 20/20 semi finals at the Northern oval no.2 from 7pm. Should be a nice evening for a few quiet ales and show ...some support for the club. The 2nds take on Coronet on Saturday also in their long awaited return to red ball cricket ( white tips and pants)at high school 1pm The 5ths take on another finals aspirant in Ballarat redan green at home 1pm in what marks a special occasion for an original DCC team member Peter Walsh in his 300th appearance for the club. A prolific run scorer in his hay day, multiple premiership and best and fairest player. We wish him all the best. Back to the rooms after the game for a few ales and a catch up on the days events.
