24.01.2022 Results from round 8 Dunsborough/Margaret River played at the Dunsborough playing fields Duns/Margs 3. 3. 21 lost to Bunbury 15. 6. 96 Best Players Max Faber, Luke Broekman, Jack Marrell, Jack Dunell, James Velda A big thanks to Max Faber and Cody Rodgers for coming up from the Margaret River year 10s to make sure we were not short on numbers. Thanks also to Sean Gill for playing and backing up again today for the Margaret River colts, good luck for today mate.... The game was closer than the scoreboard might suggest, being only 18 points down at 3/4 time with Bunbury running away with a 7 goal final quarter as our boys ran out of legs. It is imperative you boys make it to training and put in the effort to improve your fittness so we can run out a game, the 3 quarter effort showed that we are more than capable of holding our own with an undefeated team like Bunbury, As a team we are more than capable of playing deep into the finals if everyone puts in 100% effort on the training track and on the ground during the game. My highlight for the game was Ben Bevan's desperate effort and lack of self preservation by throwing himself across the boot of a bunbury player to pull off smother of the year, he was forced to leave the ground with the imprint of the balls laces in his face. Gutsy effort Bevo Next week should see the return of Matt Cocivera from injury and Harry Goodridge from holidays. Next weekends game in against South Bunbury at Glouchester park Margaret River at 3.00 Saturday 30th July

15.01.2022 this weekend is the first "home " game for the boys when we take onthe top of the ladder Bunbury Bulldogs at Shark Park, Dunsborough playing fields. The game is scheduled to sart between 230 -300 due to a full list of games and some fixturing issues. Please make sure all players are at the ground by 145 but try and get there earlier and support the under 15s as they take on Bunbury as well. It would be really good if the Margies boys could get up for Thursday's session as we have a very important game coming up this Saturday at Dunsborough playing fields against a quality opposition. It is imperative that we know who is available for this weekend so we can sort out positions early. Let myself, Stoney or Bevo know as soon as possible if you are not available. Also Jeff Bevan can you let us know if you can bring any of the boys up Thursday Cheers
