21.01.2022 After observing the way students have responded to the responsibility of coming into classrooms and preparing for their school day by themselves, we have seen a number of very positive benefits for our students and our school. Dunsborough Primary School will be continuing to ask parents not to enter classrooms in the morning when dropping off their child/children at school. In the afternoon however, parents are welcome to wait outside their child’s classroom and collect thei...r child when he or she is released by their class teacher. FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN IN KINDY & PRE PRIMARY Please continue to drop your child off at school between 8.45am and 9.00am at the same school gates as you have been using since the start of this term. - Kindy students at the top car park. - Pre Primary students at the Kiss ‘n’ Drop. NOTE: Teachers and staff will be in attendance to meet children at these gates in the morning and direct them to their classrooms. (Please do not arrive any earlier than 2.50pm to collect your Kindy or Pre Primary child from their class) Parents who arrive in a vehicle should park in the top car park or in another safe area away from the school. Note: The Kiss ‘n’ Drop lane is to be left clear from 2.30 to 4.00pm and parents are not to park in this area while they go to a classroom to collect their child. FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS IN YEARS 1 to 6 Please say goodbye to your child outside their classroom if you are dropping them off in the morning. (Parents are asked to not enter their child’s classroom before school, unless there is an emergency.) In the afternoon, parents wishing to pick their child/children from school are asked to not enter the school grounds before 3.00 pm and maintain social distancing from other adult, while waiting for your child in one of the following areas. 1. At the front of the school. 2. In the school’s internal grassed quadrangle 3. Outside the library. Once your child arrives, after being dismissed for the day, parents are asked to please leave the school grounds straight away. Note: Children are not allowed to play on the school’s playground equipment after school finishes. Thank you again for your continued support and encouragement as we work together to provide the best learning opportunities for our students.

Details of how to undertake and return the work will accompany the packages; - For those students who are learning from home, contact by school will be made each week by phone and/or online; - Parents are asked to drop their child/children at the school’s perimeter, please do not enter the school grounds. - Cleaners will work throughout the day to ensure all high-use areas, such as benchtops, desks, doorknobs, taps and hand rails, are regularly cleaned and surfaces disinfected.
